Review Kenny's Malay - Broadbeach

Fabulous food at Kenny’s Malay. The duck salad is superb! It is in a bowls club so don’t have high expectations RE the setting. It also can be a little noisy inside as it’s usually fully booked but outside is always great. I’ve seen some of the negative reviews and that hasn’t been our experience. We’ve always received fantastic and friendly service. But it is a busy and inexpensive restaurant and our expectations are in line with that.

Food here is pretty tasty. The serves are generous, left with plenty to eat the next day too. To say there's plenty to choose from would be putting it mildly, the menu is huge plus there's more on the specials board. I wasn't blown away but it was good enough that I'd go back again. There's no table service for drinks, you have to get your own from the bar in the bowling club; I think that could be improved. Nice setting, pleasant service

Decent servings, decent food and nice atmosphere. Although, the food tasted more Chinese than Malaysian. Bangkok fish and duck salad were especially good!

Lovely food, good service, roomy, reasonable prices. Unfortunately not byo but otherwise very nice.

Ist timer. Meal was fresh and really tasty. I had a veg curry and vegetables were al dente. Great portion sizes. Quick and pleasant young waitresses. No need to try other malay or thai restaurant its all here.

Outstanding food and the best service . This is in the top 5 restaurants on the GC for food and top 3 for price . The staff have always been very accomodating and love having children in the restaurant which is great .

Hidden away at the Gold Coast bowls club. Nicely affiliated with the pub next door, so drinks are cheap. Meat raffles on Saturdays is fun. Food a bit rich.

My husband and I and another couple went last night (Thursday) to Kenny's for dinner. Our friends booked and asked for the corner table at the windows that they have previously had a number of times. When we arrived we noticed that the table had a reserved sign on it but was set for 5. The waitress pointed to a small table set for 4 which was only acceptable for 2 especially at a restaurant where there are multiple dishes usually ordered on the table. When we asked if we could sit at the other table were told that it was reserved for someone else. As we sat we noticed a table of 4 near us get up and move to a bigger table with the assistance of the wait staff. Our friend went to ask and was told that we couldn't move because we had booked and that table had been assigned to us. My husband than went to ask the owner (Tracey I believe). She said we couldn't move so he pointed to a large table with no reserved sign or anyone sitting there. He asked why we couldn't move there. She said in a raised voice that we could sit outside or go home. We were so shocked at her rudeness but we didn't pursue it at that time. My husband and I would have left but decided to stay for the food and good company with our friends. Unfortunately this woman's disgusting attitude and rudeness to her customers is unacceptable and even though the food is nice, good food does not override a bad attitude. We will never go there again. And by the way, the tables that we identified as more acceptable hadn't been used.

This would have to be one of the best kept secrets on the Gold Coast. Nothing but friendly service and AMAZING food at reasonable prices.

Fantastic food at very reasonable prices. We have always received a warm welcome from Tracy and all the staff. Is our favorite Asian restaurant on the GC. It's a bonus being able to buy your drinks from the adjoining club at club prices. Makes for a very affordable night out.

Asian owner but apparently hates Asian customer, went for dinner with my partner yesterday and received totally different service compare to Australian customer in the restaurant from beginning. In the end the old lady(maybe owner) was giving us attitude for their own problem (eftpos machine is not working and we didn’t bring bank card only Apple Pay), as a business owner myself I would be very sorry to my customer if our eftpos machine is not working and we had to ask them to go take cash out or do bank transfer. Ordered 4 dishes and paid over $90, food is not bad so I ordered more, owner should be happy we are so supportive during this time still, but won’t go again and don’t recommend anyone to go especially Asian people unless you wanna get treat differently by your own race.

Great food & a fantastic variety of food. Locals have been coming here for years definitely a favourite of mine Licenced but cheap over the bar bowling club. Reasonably priced food must book.<br/>

Food is tasty, portions really good and price is reasonable. The wait staff are cheerful and helpful. <br/>The only downside of this place is the location. A bit far from the buzz of Broadbeach and surfers paradise.<br/>But if you have a car do try this joint out. You won't be disappointed.
