extremely good. I had dinner with friends there and we all think food is perfect. I love the peking duck and sizzling beef. The food is hot enough and very fresh. I think it is the best Chinese restaurant on the Coast. we will come back again.

Great food for an excellant price. Service was excellent and staff friendly and welcoming. Spring Rolls were crispy and fresh. The crispy beef , schichuan chicken and vegetables in garlic sauce were delicious. Will definitely be returning.

So glad we decided to ignore the bad reviews on this site and order from them anyway. Everything was beautiful, the honey chicken was especially tasty and not heavily battered and greasy like some places. Would definitely order again if back on the Gold Coast.
Don't let what others have said put you off, this place has made our top 5 best chinese places we have tried!

I've just had dinner at The Peacock and it was pretty nice. I'm glad I hadn't read the reviews or I wouldnt have gone. It's not the most amazing place in the world but perfectly fine for a family dinner. The decor is nice. We had steamed duck with crabmeat and barbecue pork in special sauce which were both really, really nice. I know it's old-fashioned but we also had sweet and sour pork which was very light and not bright orange but more natural coloured, not greasy and delicious. The waitresses were sweet and laughing kindly at my two kids giggling. The food came out superfast. The only criticism is that the large special fried rice wasn't that big and there wasn't much in it. Would I recommend this to families? Yes.
