Look, you can go down to your local chicken shop and get a quarter chicken and chips and a Chiko Roll and a Passiona and get change from $20.
What you won't get is the quality of the food here. Everything is beautifully cooked with care and attention and is high quality stuff.
The buttermilk chick was delicious, the schnitzel pieces were generous and very tasty. Outstanding big chunky chips. Even the gravy was good.
Lots of specials and the salads were interesting and fresh.
Yes it was a bit more expensive than Gary's Chicken and Fish Shop. But trust me it was worth it.
Everything was delicious, the place was busy and you can have a beer or a wine which is nice. The only downside is it’s expensive. Ordering/menu is a bit limited/confusing.
The lamb is succulent and juicy, but $18 for 2 skewers. Buttermilk chicken is delicious. Burgers look great. Chips are hyped but OK.
My new fav place! Fantastic variety and friendly service. The spicy chicken bombs and souvlaki are delicious. My only comment would be that a bit of feta in the greek salad would have been divine. Something for everyone!
Yum! Yum! Yum! the food here is so good! The chef and owner Adam is super friendly and so approachable and a genuine nice guy. The food is flavoursome and super tasty. I had the Portugese split bird which is cooked on charcoal and my partner had the 1/4 chook combo. It was all cooked perfectly... oh and to finish it off we had a freshly squeezed juice!
This place is so worth a visit. So clean and fresh and the service is very friendly. We got the West Fried burger, chips, souvlaki pack and the chicken meatballs which was all very delicious and reasonably priced. The best thing about this place is you can be super healthy or you can be naughty too! will definitely be back
Delicious!!!! The burgers are unreal.. everything cooked on charcoal and cooked to order. Great salads too!! They just got their liquor license so even better
My family and I love this place! we've been a few times now and cant get enough. I strongly recommend the Souvlaki pack, such great value for money and amazing flavours. The burgers are also very tasty and the chips are to die for! This place is fresh, yummy and the service is very friendly.

We live in the area and are so excited to have this place at our doorstep! It isn't your average chicken shop... we had the Mousaka special (YUM!) and the charcoal cooked souvlakia.. they were cooked beautifully! Their salads are also really good and fresh and change all the time. My kids are obsessed with their chips and milkshakes.They are very reasonably priced! Everything is fresh and cooked to order.

A good chicken shop if you’re after an easy meal with great chips. Four star since they do chicken shops proud. I’ve always gotten friendly service. Dining inside is a good option with a relaxed vibe.

A little on the pricey side, but you definitely pay for what you get here. Chicken is so moist and fresh, nothing is greasy, and everything tastes beautiful.

I've been to Cheeky Chook twice and have been impressed both times. The GC burger was delicious. The small chips I ordered were some of the tasty chips I've ever eaten, and the serving size was anything but small. I'm not a big beer drinker but the Cheeky Chook Lager was very easy to drink. My friend got chicken souvlaki skewers which looked good. I'm keen to go back and try more of the menu.
Ordered a west fried burger today and it didnt dissapoint. the chicken was moist and perfectly seasoned. Chased it down with a glass of cheeky chooks beer and it went down a treat. Definitely recommend and eager to try the new hash brown angus beef burger looks amazing ..alot of menu choices makes this place ideal for the whole family
2021 update: oh my goodness, I love Adam. you ask for it and he makes it happen! his friendly can do attitude and brilliant service, he and his team behind the counter and in the kitchen never fail to deliver a tasty & feel-good meal.

highly recommend the chicken schnitzel - the crumb is seasoned perfectly. none of that plain stodgy business. i also recommend literally any of the salads. every salad is the best. i also am fond of their chicken, chips, and gravy. they do the basics very well.

Decided to go after reading the online hype.
Went for lunch on Friday and not bad, not the biggest selection but that's probably a good thing. We got 2 of the West Fried burgers a small chips and gravy and 1 drink to share and it was about $40 so definitely on the more expensive side. The burgers were a little salty but overall we ate everything and will go back to try the charcoal chicken.
Nice new addition for Henley Beach Rd which is getting a few new places atm. Hopefully this one lasts 👍🏼
