How good valued it was $10 lunch special! I could choose a curry/stir fry with rice and spring rolls/a can of soft drink. The spring rolls were classic, hot and crunchy with a flavorful filling, and a stir fry chicken with basil and rice was served authentically. A nam pla prik (fresh chilli and fish sauce) was thoughtfully served on the side. Thai Chilli Basil was often quite saucy when we got it from restaurants which was not the way it was made in Thailand. Khao Siam Thai stuck to the traditional way of cooking it with enough sauce to coat the stir fry but such that when dishing it up it was not sitting in a pool of sauce. Keen to try other dishes sooner!

Ordered take away from here and surprisingly was happy with the flavour and taste! Had the Pad Thai which was amazing - would definitely recommend.
Decent prices also 🙂

July 2018. This restaurant has changed its name to Khao Siam a year ago I am told. I continue to go back. The waitress tonight was extremely friendly and food is still great

This a great little restaurant. We shared entrees of salt and pepper squid and dim sim. The squid was chewy but we prefer it that way. The dim sum was the only failure of our dishes. They fell apart and the flavour wasn’t great. In the past we have had satay skewers and spring rolls and the were also good. For main we had chicken coconut salad. I love this item. My new favourite. I have tried many mains when I’ve come in the past and have always been impressed. We ended with fried ice cream which was good. Service was great. Even my grandson said 3 times about our waitress she is so nice. Would recommend this restaurant
