Great local pub. Solid beer list, and a menu of pub classics plus some surprises- all done well. Getting served a couple of slices of white bread and a tiny butter packet before a meal is always a winner for me. Also, easily the best salt and pepper shakers I've seen in a while...
This was a 5 star burger. Just the perfect pub burger and chips. Went down well with a pot of amber juice. Freekin delicious. I lay awake at night and wonder if I'll ever feel that way about a burger again. 🍔 at least we had that one brief but incredible time together. I'll never forget you union

One of the last great homely and pretentious-free pubs serving great food, good beers and with lovely staff. I've been loving this pub since 2015 and it consistently delivers.

A great relaxed vibe in an old school pub atmosphere with friendly, groovy/alternative bar staff. There’s an outdoor area with covered tables. We had lunch of oven roasted trout which was delicious.
