If you are in Melbourne, you should visit this shop. If you live interstate, you can order the sweet online and it will arrive within 2 business days. I have just received my box of barazek and baklava. They have a fantastic service.

Balha’s Pastry is not a place you can miss. It’s massive, double-storey and always busy no matter what time of day you visit. They have an incredible range of Lebanese sweets, chocolate, ice cream, cakes, savoury options, hot and cold drinks including their own coffee! besides the food being good, the atmosphere is so lively so it’s a great catch up spot. I don’t know exactly what the ingredients were for each dessert 😅 but nothing we tried was overly sweet despite most desserts having rose water syrup drizzled on top. They reheat some of the desserts for you so that they’re warm but obviously because they just grab them off the trays, they’re not made fresh. I personally wouldn’t recommend the Cheese Knafeh for this reason because you won’t get the same melted cheese texture you’d get if it was fresh. That’s the only downside but considering how tasty everything else is, I can personally overlook that. I know that might not be for everyone though. If you’re looking for authentic Lebanese sweets, this is definitely where you’ll find them. There is just so much to try here, it’s unlikely you won’t find something you like. Even if you just go for a hot drink and sit upstairs, it’s worth the visit.

Ordered 21 * 2kg trays of mixed baklava’s. The girls at the service area were absolutely amazing. Nothing was too hard, flexibility of packaging and communication was fantastic every step of the way. Customer service second to none! ! For someone who likes anything sweet, Balha’s just make me want to sing “I’m in heaven!” Each tray was perfectly made up ready to deliver to our clients! These sweets will be sure to make life sweeter for everyone. Thanks Balha’s! Highly recommended!

Needed a last minute cake for a dinner party, and ran in crossing every part of my body that they still had something. They did! Great recommendations and service from the women behind the counter. Every single small treat behind the cases that surround the customer area looked next level. If I lived in the area, I'd be there so often for a coffee and a bite. Highly recommend checking it out.

Their baklavas are always good to eat! Not too sweet, simple and they’re so addictive until I forgot to leave some for my partner. We love cashew, pistachio and walnut!

Clean, authentic and tasty middle eastern pastry restaurant. The staff are very polite and caring. The pastry are die for. The skill of making coffee exemplary. The only issue I face is the lavatories are not clean. They need automatic sensor air freshener to get rid of the human aroma from the lavatory.. Can the staff keep an eye on the cleanliness of the lavatories and ensure there are sufficient toilet rolls. 5 stars for their customer service and food.

If you are a fan of Lebanese Sweets, you must give this place a go. I have been going this place for years just to try their Ward El Sham and Znood El Sit, which are amazing; specially the Ashta. One of the best.

The atmosphere was so beautiful very warm and friendly and the tasty, delicious sweets were to die for. Will definitely be back!
