I came here for brunch with my sister.
The service was exceptional. The guy that served us was very inviting and nice.
We loved our food. It was filling and delicious.
It was my first time trying gluten free pancakes and coconut yoghurt. I’m usually very bloated after I eat pancakes but i found the meal light and satisfying. The maple syrup was tasty and the strawberries were fresh/sweet. The mixed berry topping balanced out the yoghurt and syrup. I also enjoyed the coffee.
Did someone say vegan pancake? How'd they know I'm unable to pass them up. Minimo's rendition are not too over the top, which is actually quite refreshing as they don't leave me with a sugar/fat stomachache. Compote plus raw berries add freshness while the cashew butter adds a creamy decadence. (Looks like they've now swapped this for coconut yoghurt, which would have the same effect.)
We had a really lovely breakfast today! I had the Avocado Bruschetta, it was delicious! My boyfriend had the special blueberry pancakes, they were fluffy, so yummy and it was a really big portion! The service was super friendly and also informed us about daily specials that were not on the Menue. I can definitely recommend that place 😊
Delicious vegan pancakes!!! Good coffee and very friendly service. Café had a lovely atmosphere too. Thank you for having delicious vegan options!
Minimo was such a good spot for a quick coffee. The young barristor I had today was wearing tape around his wrist which was off putting. But I guess because he is crunching coffees out a rate it would do some serious damage to the skeletal segment of the hand. 10/10 would kill myself :)
Absolutely the best. Me and my partner came here for brunch on the weekend. It took ages for our food to come only because it was so busy there. We were lucky to find a table. Waitresses were so lovely and gave us free drinks as compensation for the late meal. Really delicious food. We adored the turmeric latte and the chai latte. Just a really good time. Would do it again.
I really like this place. Coffee never dissapoints and service is always top. Menu is always changing amd fresh. Prob a little pricey on some items but overall a good regular
The updated menu is great for everyone. With lots of competition popping up in the area, they are a strong standout. Definitely one of my favourites.
Nice, quaint cafe. I had poached eggs on toast and couldn't complain. Eggs were poached nicely which is important. Friend got a potato rosti which looked delicious!
Minimo is a small humble cafe standing lonesomely on the of corner Sydney road and Donald street in Brunswick. With black umbrellas our the front providing shade for the small portion of outdoor seating, this cafe create a lovely family friendly feel. The interior of the cafe although small is set out well, easily accomodating for larger family groups, though most of the seating is preferable for parties or two.
On a lazy Sunday afternoon we entered Minimo’s doors to a rather packed atmosphere with family gatherings blocking pathways due to there large obnoxious prams but none the less we where greeted by friendly staff who seated us in the conner near the window. We where presented with menus and left to decipher through the diverse extensive menu. From various different pancakes, burgers, and other delicious versatile dishes the menu certainly caters for all. After much discussion we where finally ready to order on the 5th attempt. The waitress was so lovely and patient and very helpful when inquiring into certain aspects of items on the menu. We decided to go for the mouthwatering Wagyu beef Reuben Sandwich and the old faithful Minimo’s granola with beverages being a long black and a soy Golden latte.
Our drinks arrived promptly and where exquisite. The long black was thick and aromatic with great bitter chocolatey tasting notes crafting for a perfect brew. The Golden latte being made up of soy milk, tumeric, cinnamon, pepper and ginger served with honey was by far the best I’ve tried. The latte was lovely and spicy soothing the tummy and enlightening the sense. The honey added a nice touch of sweetness but didn’t over power the flavoursome beverage.
Next to arrive was our magnificent looking meals. The Wagyu Beef Reuben Sandwich constructed with there famous grilled sour dough with Wagyu pastrami, melted swiss cheese, sauerkraut, house made tomato mayo, seeded mustard, green leaves and a dill pickle plus flat chips was flawless. The burger was a hefty size and was a struggle to finish but a meal that tasted that good one could not leave a bite left on there plate. The patty was moist and cooked to perfection. The house made tomato mayo was great paired with the gooey cheese and tangy taste from the sauerkraut. The bun was toasted well ensuring it was the best carrier for the loaded burger soaking up the juices like a sponge. The highlight would have to be the flat chips. Seasoned and sliced thinly, they where crunchy and crisp and not to oily being the greatest companion to this mighty burger.
Minimo’s granola was equally as divine being presented in an assemble yourself like fashion. The granola made up of nuts, chia seeds, grains, seeds, oats shredded coconut and dates, baked in honey and maple topped with fresh banana, strawberries and blueberries finished with a side of greek yoghurt and my personal preference of Bonsoy, was yummy and filling. To start with the generous serve of milk was much appreciated as I dislike it when cafes skimp on the milk hardly giving enough to cover the granola. The greek yoghurt was thick and creamy and once paired with the velvety soy milk poured over the crunchy sweet granola this bowl of goodness came to life. The nuts and seeds added textual crunch and the toasted coconut added a nice smokey aspect. The oats and chia seeds absorb the milk well making for a very filling meal. The granola its self was roasted to perfection and wasn’t too sweet at all. The fresh fruit on top refreshed the palate adding tartness from the tangy berries and the dried dates provided a chewy aspect.
After filling our bellies until they where about to explode we finished with a soothing soy mocha. The mocha was frothy and creamy with the perfect balance of chocolate to caffeine ratio, finishing off a very successful feed.
Minimo is a great little establishment serving immaculate food and coffee from a very extensive menu in a cosy family friendly environment. The staff are great and its not wonder this place seems to get busy as it appears its a favourite spot for locals in the area.
We order from Minimo on Uber eats most weekends (yes that's us who order the same thing every Sunday) and I can honestly say it is the best breakfast we have ever eaten.
The summer pancakes are fluffy and very well cooked, lemon curd is beautiful and the pistachio praline is to die for and poached plums are a lovely addition.
The avocado bruschetta is amazing. The pesto and basil especially put this above other standard avo breakfast dishes.
The coffee is lovely too!
Cannot say anything bad about this lovely place! 10/10 highly recommend!
Just had the most delicious vegan and gf pancakes here. Really yummy and lots of other vegan options on the menu that I need to go back and try. Thanks so much for catering well for us vegans. It's a really cozy, unpretentious cafe, pretty big front outdoor area too if you have dogs.
The gnocchi was delightfully light and the sauce was incredible! Definitely coming back to minimo, there was quick service and a welcoming atmosphere.
Another delicious brunch at Minimo. Today I enjoyed the breakfast bruschetta with poached eggs, tomato, basil and avocado while my husband opted for the Calabrese breakfast which consisted of rosemary foccacia, Italian salami, mushrooms and poached eggs. Both dishes consisted of perfectly balanced flavours and were quite hearty. We come here most weekends and, even though it's always busy, the service is prompt and friendly. We've eaten at many cafes in the area and this is definitely the best.
I've been here a few times, as the food is generally very good, with an interesting menu and specials - it seems the chef likes to be a little experimental. A recent highlight was croque madame with slow cooked pork belly. Coffee usually fairly decent, and it's a nice space with huge windows so you watch the passerbys on Sydney Road. Service is fine, although I do sometimes get a bit of a weird vibe for some reason.
Had the "Superfood Fritters". Was absolutely delicious. Have attached a photo. I'm stunned this place doesn't rate higher on here. Nice atmosphere and they don't pump up the music like a lot of other places. I'll be back. Yum!
The Calabrese breakfast was delicious with just the right amount of spiciness. The serving size for the bubble and squeak was enormous! Service was welcoming and efficient. Lovely place for lunch.
Great breakfast/brunch venue, very popular among the Brunswick and surrounding suburb crowds. Delicious options for vegetarians, carnivores, sweet tooths (sweet teeth?!), or whatever else your tastebuds may favour.
Food: Baked eggs (special of the day), wouldn't have traded it for any others since it was a heart-warming dish.
Coffee: well above average.
Service: great service if you served by a chirpy, mature, petite lady. You'll never miss her!
Ambience: cosy and warm.
Really yummy food, really cosy and warm, great service from pressumably the owner and his staff :)
(However one day there was a woman behind the counter and she was going nuts at them about the internet or something)I would love to pop in and grab your amazing treats more often like an almond croissant, but I can't spend $7.5 on them.
Great place though!
Yum. I've read the recent review about terrible service, but we didn't find it bad. The first time we went, the waitress was very attentive and so lovely. The second time, the young girl wasn't as friendly but it didn't make an impact on us as the food was absolutely delicious. The corn fritter are AMAZING and the Calabrese breakfast was really really really good. Will definitely be back and definitely recommend this place.
Tasty lunch / great coffee. Second visit for lunch over a couple of months. Had the pork belly roll on both occasions - currently it's the best I've had in Melbourne. Flat white coffee 9/10. Staff attentive and friendly enough. I'd visit again.
So many appealing vego options on the menu, i couldnt decide! got the special - corn fritters, which were very yum! service was very attentive despite what other reviews say, it was however a Monday and not particularly busy. have been here a few times in the past as well without complaint!
Love it!. The breakfast burrito never faults! And the service is always impeccable!
Special mention to the lovely waitress who always brings my dog some bacon to tie him over!
I was greeted straight away and led to the counter to where the selection of salads, quiches and cakes were displayed.
Great. Very friendly greeting as soon as we walked in. We tried tuna parties with salad and a penne bolognese. Both were delicious
Minim I are back on track - used to be one of my favourite places, went off a little about 6 months ago.
Recently went back, food was great as was the service. Try a brownie!
Having recently moved to Brunswick it was so exciting to find such great coffee served every day with a smile and good conversation. The staff in this wonderful little cafe are so friendly and the coffee is great. I've only been in Melbourne for a year but that's all it takes to turn someone into a "coffee snob," but Minimo doesn't fail to impress. I haven't yet had time to eat in this cafe but my house mate is a regular and assures me the food is amazing! And with a selection of freshly made sweet and savoury snacks in the deli counter this place caters for those wanting a leisurely brunch or those who need to grab something quick before running for the tram!
Great food! And great service very friendly vibe! Always very welcoming We go on a regular basis! :D
A delight. Minimo is an unpretentious cafe with great food and service, situated at the un-gentrified end of Sydney Road. I've been a regular there ever since I moved into the neighbourhood, and I can count on one hand the disappointing meals I've had. (Two. Out of ... well, more than I like to admit.)
What makes Minimo special is the imagination and attention to detail shown in its menu, and the high quality of ingredients. But the staff are also great, friendly and knowledgeable. The owner goes out of his way to make people feel welcome. It's a good place.
Random Find. We found Minimo through a random walkdown Sydney road. At first I thought it was going to be pretty average but then I saw the menu.
I had the breakfast burger with some bacon and avocado on the side. The wife had the Blueberry Pancakes.
The service was great and the food was fantastic. The burger was sensational, cooked to perfection and great flavors. The pancakes with the coconut yohgurt were delicious.
I don't live anywhere near Sydney road but will definitely be back for more at minimo.
Loved It!!. Great little cafe, very busy on weekends. Great service, great food and good coffee. Came here with 2 girlfriends for brunch and everything we had was delicious. Will be back again.
Fab food. Beautiful fresh food that is delicious. Was happy to hear they have freshly made fruit juice that i was quick to choose. Love the food there. Going to Minimo was a lovely start to my day.
Fabulous Food. The eggs are delicious, a great variety of flavours. I am also pleased with their mochas. Not many places can make a nicely balanced mocha with strong coffee and chocolate flavours but i am happy to say Minimo has acheived this balance. The brownies are to die for. My husband bought me one home after having brunch with mates. It was so delicious I have been back on several occasions for more. Lucky I live 30 meters away. Although with all the brownies I am eating it would be better if I had to walk a bit further to get them.
Could become another regular favourite .... Ticks all the boxes ... location - very central Brunswick, but on the quieter end of Sydney Road, a sun kissed location, yes amazing eggs as most reviewers boast - they are to be boasted about ... , good coffee, ever so hospitable staff , great ambience ... and some delicious looking cake ! And house made Ciabatta served warm on the side ... cant wait to come back .... Brunswick is spoilt for the pickings ....
If you never ask, you'll never know... I visited this cafe after completing a 10 km run & I was craving an Eggs Benedict breakfast. Though it wasn't on the menu, I asked if they did it and they were more than happy to make it for me. My goodness, I can honestly say it is hands down the best Eggs Benedict I have had in Melbourne by far. Such a generous amount of food on the plate and it had an abundance of taste and cooked perfectly. Will be back for sure.
My boyfriend and I call this "The Amazing Egg Place" because they do, asyou might have guessed, the most amazing eggs. They seem to have perfected the art of poaching, and when you cut into the yolk it stays together but not in a crumbly, overcooked way, more in a perfectly cooked gooey incredible way. Highly recommend!!
Took my parents here for lunch on a weekday and we loved it. Great range of food. All deliciously made. Staff are lovely. Coffee was good too. I'll be back.
Ah the French toast here is amazing! Also the customer service here is great. Such nice people who run the restaurant. Definitely recommended to anyone who loves a good French toast to kick start the day.
Best poached eggs!. Really want to try some of the other things on the menu, but can't go past the eggs with smoked salmon and rosti. You're always guaranteed a perfectly poached egg here which I love because I can't stand it when my egg yolks aren't runny! They give a very generous serve of smoked salmon and the rosti is nicer to eat with it all than just toast. Also a generous amount of velvety hollandaise. Lovely food and very nice staff, definitely one of my favorites!
Beautiful as always. How the eggs are poached is always my benchmark for a good brunch spot, and theirs gently poached at 60-something degrees are perfection. I only query why butter seems to be an optional extra at cafes these days. A minor concern, however. Service is always very friendly.
Awesome. Best coffee in the area! Great food and friendly service. My regular :)
Excellent!. Pop in here alteast once every two weeks for a coffee and a meal/cake. Coffee is excellent, food is great and reasonably priced and the service is great. I usually have to stop myself at one sausage roll!. The owners should be proud of what they created!. Not sure what Salsa is talking about in his/her review, maybe save statements like 'corporate blandness/fascism' for the university magazines or for faceless organisations...
I've lived in Melbourne for over four years now and can confidently say that Minimo is one of my top three favourite cafe/restaurants in Melbourne, and certainly sits at the very top of my list when it comes to their breakfast menu. Consistently perfect coffee every time. Their poached eggs are prepared at a very low heat for several hours, resulting in a very satisfying consistency. There is also a good choice of equally tasty options for Vegetarians. Never been disappointed and as such they have definitely got themselves a repeat customer.
Yumo. Another local favourite. Good coffee, delicious food. A little more expensive than other cafes in the area but well worth the cost. Top notch quality ingredients, flavours and decent portion sizes. Oh, and friendly staff! The only bad thing is you always leave smelling like bacon!
Oh my gosh! Your mushroom breakfast dish is amazing!! The goats cheese is so tasty and the mushrooms with garlic was so delicious! I will return!
Ate there for the first time this morning and it was AMAZING! Great service everybody was friendly, and the food was simply perfect. Will definatly be back :)
I love this place. Best coffee for miles and great food. The staff are always friendly. Claudio & his wife do a great job & should be very proud. One of my faves.
Another wonderful weekend brunch at Minimo! Coffee was great, eggs were perfect. The staff were friendly and efficient (as usual!). Definitely one of my favourite cafes on this side of town!
The effort put into making the coffee is appreciated. The owner is very friendly and so are staff. Food is pricey bit good quality so u pay for what u get!
Try the beans. Delicious food, decent coffee, reasonable prices. I'll definitely keep going there (as long as I can get a table!)
The eggs, holandaise sauce, sourdough bread was lovely. However, the coffee was a real let down. Overall, a great environment for lunch.
Sorry to Josiphine.. Sorry to Josephine. we were terribly busy today and understaffed. We try our very best and sometimes we make mistakes. As Josephine said brilliant most times but we drop the ball this time.

Sorry to Wilbur. We are very sad to hear of Wilburs experience. We try very hard to please our customers but sometimes we make mistakes. I have written to Wilbur to apologise and hope he gives us another chance.

You can't please everyone. Well I don't know of this incident however it seems the Sasa dura had a mission to write a bad review. You can see by the length and the depth of review he/ she was determined. If you read between te lines you can see my staff tried to correct the situation but Salsa dura just didn't want any of it. Sasha dura is entitled to to there opinion but my saff are never rude but a bit zelous. Thanks for you review salsa dura but have some moaners and talk to management first before you print things that may hurt someone's livelyhod.

Let's be truthful. Ecw. Thanks for your review. Just in our defense. First of all you did not ask for the vegetarian baked eggs and i should add they were the Anzac day special left over from the day before, thats why they were wiped off the board. You forgot to mention that we made specially for you and you were willing to wait. There was a mix up with your order because you asked for " hard boiled eggs" instead of welldone eggs. The chef is just new and we got very busy. We take pride in our cafe and food. I'm sorry that you had a bad experience hope you can forgive us and try us again.
Minimo. Great food, great coffee, great service.
Changing menu has great specials beef green pepper pie this week awesome!
Terrific service, great food and wonderful coffee.
Eggs.... This place has great eggs..... :)
Awesome coffee. Wonderful barista who makes damn good coffee. I travel here when I am needing a good pick me up.
foody a bit pricey but you pay for the quality. well done Claudio.
Big fan. For this area, this cafe comes as a blessing for people who love going out for breakfast/brunch. The coffee is fantastic. Menu is innovative and delicious. They have tried to take the tastes of each of the major cuisines such as Italian, Turkish and Mexican into their breakfasts, most of whom include eggs. This place also does a roaring trade due to pre-prepared lunches and coffees which can be ordered via sms.
Minimo touchdown!. The coffee is the best in the area and the food always delightful. Staff are friendly and welcome regulars and drop ins with warmth. The service is great! Now for the food!!! Always innovative, there is a regular menu with excellent breakfast plus a great selection of 'made on the day!' will not disappoint!
Great Cafe. Great cafe, one of the best in Brunswick. I have been living on the same street for the past year and go to Minimo at least once every weekend. They make awesome pies, croissants (baked there), coffee is usually perfect, and their breakfast specials are spectacular (wait for the breakfast burrito or french toast w/ ricotta). Oh, and awesome, massive brownies.
Great Cafe. Minimo has the best breakfast and coffee in Brunswick.
Great!. I love dropping in here for lunch or just a coffee break. My 4 year old son loves coming here too - the staff are so very welcoming of children. Unfortunately it does not really have much in the way of facilities for kids - no change table, high chairs or toys, and whilst prams can fit in between tables, there is not a lot of space. But it doesn't matter because all the staff are so friendly to kids. I usually just make sure it is a short stop-off, get my 4 year old fed quickly and keep my baby in the pram.
I just can not believe the size of a scoop I received, just ginormous!!
Amazing staff, huge range of flavours, and cakes for a future visit.
Highly recommended.
I love this place! Orded the oat milk choc and pineapple sorbet and both were very tasty. I loved that the chocolate one wasn't too rich - it was perfect 😙👌
Great range of flavours. Better quality than a lot of these gelato places that have popped up recently.
Downside is all those tiny plastic spoons. Staff always seem to change and depending on who serves you, depends on how big your serve is.
2 scoops will cost $6.80 so sometimes it is value for money, other times not so much.
Amazing customer service by Alex, she's been so patient with us and very sweet. Plus the ice cream scoops are EXTREMELY generous in size.
Best Ice Cream in Melbourne Xx
The best gelato I’ve ever tasted 😍 the lemon, watermelon, mango, mint sorbet and pistachio was so heavenly it’s like if I could eat clouds that’s how I imagined it tastes like. ☁️ . The staff were friendly and helpful, really good service and overall ambiance.
Bombe Alaska 10/10! Light biscuit base with lemon and raspberry gelato with a light layer of meringue. Very refreshing, it was perfect dessert and complimented our Italian lunch. Cut into slices (not wedges) enough to feed 20 people
Great little gelato store that is clean and bright with very friendly guy working behind the counter. When I visited they had a range of flavours like Amaretto Cherry, Fairy Bread, Salted Caramel and Snickers. The Snickers was delicious and creamy! Generous scoop also! They also have sorbets, cannoli and cakes! Definitely give Lagom Gelato a visit!
