Seriously the BEST vegan toasty I have ever had! Mushrooms and hazelnuts worth coming to Brunswick for ♡
The most relaxed proto hipster cafe in Brunswick, good food great people and puppy friendly- Kieden I'm not yet convinced by the hot chic but I forgive you that
Yummy toasties, good coffee! Great relaxed environment. Would definitely visit again!
Love everything about this place. Great food and beautiful staff.
Absolutely love this spot, great coffee and great food, service can be a bit slow at peak times but hey! That’s the price you pay for quality. Love the ahthenticity about this place I think a lot of businesses try to emulate it but these guys have it.
Best vegan toasties ever. Hot chocolate served in a generous pot. Attentive wait staff who knows what's vegan on their menu and what can veganised. In a laid back unrushed environment. Perfect Sunday breakfast/lunch spot!
I suspect what prevented me from venturing to Kines sooner, despite all the rave reviews I’d heard, was the fact that Sydney Road is incredibly hard to get to if you live on the other side of Lygon Street and don’t drive or ride – three criteria I happen to meet.
Sometimes you just wanna sit down and enjoy yourself. Well that what I did when I saw this amazing lounge in this cafe. It needed company lol. Extra points for the lounge hahaha ... no not really ... mmnn
The service was relaxed, and friendly. My coffee was good, and they served water w my coffee which was great as I was parched.
Happy days. This place is worth a visit. But lookout it’s in a warehouse and easy to miss.
The creamed corn and the kimchi pancake is so bloody delicious! The staff are super friendly and I just love their vibe! If you are in Brunswick you must check them out!!
Lots of laughs with the FOH staff. Food presentation= great. Flavour= not amazing. Portion= generous! Coffee= phenom! Would definitely go back.
The creamed corn was so bloody good, mushies were good also. Well priced. Soy latte not as good but who cares because creamed corn.
Was also pretty good value and dog friendly outside.
Waitreess where open minded & bubbly, we loved it, but It took a while, for the food to come out, but was worth it, but it was freezing in there, we had to eat & ran out, lucky the sun was shinning & the inside of the Vehicle we where in was hhhot.
My favorite lunch hang-out in the neighborhood
From the outside the building looks like many other brick 🧱 buildings in the Brunswick area: red bricks, graffitis, and a blue roller door.
Once you get closer, you will immediately spot the colorful flowers 💐 on the table, the yellow barrel for the plant 🌱 and the window for all take away orders.
The inside looks like a cozy living room - loft style. There are several second hand sofas 🛋, old but comfortable. Once you sit down, it is difficult to get up [too comfortable]. On the wall is a bookshelf 📚 inviting you to grab a book and have a good read while enjoying tasty coffee and tasty food.
This place is where Wood and Co Coffee started, hence they serve super tasty coffee! As I work just next door, I usually only order food, but from time to time I just cannot resist. Last time I order an espresso from Honduras 🇭🇳 Finca Fernández [Santa Barbara], Parainema, fully washed with flavors of pawpaw, dried apricot, and Werthers Echte. AMAZING 🤩.
You should absolutely try the kimchi toasty, the pumpkin 🎃 soup 🥣, and - if you are scared of vampires 🧛♂️ - go for the mushroom 🍄 toasty: you will be safe forever, and it is soooo delicious.
Delicious kim chi and beetroot toasties from Kines. Nice easy vibes sitting outside with a coffee in hand.
Quite a limited menu however so come here expecting to grab a toastie!
Kines is a new staple in my Brunswick cafe rotation. Excellent ambiance and great food. Went for lunch and we ordered a kimchi toastie, mushroom toastie and, of course, coffee. The toasties tasted wonderful and were not overly greasy which is often common with toasties. Looking forward to trying the many other offerings in the menu.
Mushroom toastie was fab.
Don't go if in a rush though when it is busy, single point ordering at the bar which can take some time, best to chill and enjoy the music (which was also excellent).
