Review Hot Pizza House - Brunswick

Christina b
Pizza was ok. A little too spicy/hot for my liking . Ordered their version of "the lot" . The hot chillies /flakes weren't needed. And the garlic bread was not your usual garlic bread. But overall price was good.

Family owned business.. The Father made top Pizzas when Pizzas were Pizzas... Con 2nd generation in the same store same telephone number... Great guy friendly... polite n punctual prompt...isn't that the main thing apart from being delicious ? On time food... if he says 40 mins it's forty minutes••• Pizza made with fresh dough not like most other pre-made bases with added toppings..."Hot Pizza House" best Pizza in Brunswick... Don't take my word try yourself...

May be good pizza. I’ll never know. Went in but as soon as told cash only, I walked out. It’s 2022. People do not have cash and there is no cost barrier for a business to accept cards, ApplePay etc. as their once was. Apart from being inconvenient for me, it indicates the owners are hiding income from the tax man and ripping off us all. Likely also using cash to pay employees under the table too, which is exploitation and of course illegal. If I’m wrong tell me. But I can’t think of a legitimate reason to be cash only in 2022. If anything you should now be moving towards being cashless.

Worst pizza ever and worst garlic bread ever. I suggest everyone do not waste your money by ordering from here .

The owner is very modest and friendly. Watching him make the pizzas, you can tell he does so with passion and is super generous with the toppings. Pizza is really tasty and the $24 special is a bargain for the quality taste and size!

Hot Pizza House ….OMG!!! Best Pizzas in Melbourne by a long shot

This is my family’s favourite pizza shop and I have been having pizza from here pretty much my whole life!!! The pizzas are incredible, and Con and his family are such lovely people and hard workers. Couldn’t recommend more highly!

Decided to try out the pizzas at this place on Melville road. We opted for the 2 large pizza combo ($24) and took the Meat Lover pizza and 'Granada'.

The meat lover pizza was delicious. The hot salami wasn't really hot for us but we enjoyed it anyway. I was feeling ambitious with the Granada but didn't enjoy the prawn on the pizza thingy. I was maybe expecting the prawns to be baked a little more as it wasn't blending well with the other elements on the bread. Also tried the garlic bread in foil which was freshly baked :)

Pros: Polite owner, he shared that he was running the place since the last 35 years! He takes pride in his work. Inexpensive prices, value for money. Generous servings. Everything prepared freshly before you.

Con: Place only accepts cash, not card. You might have to wait a while for your pizza to be ready. The surroundings are not that great, but I assume people mostly order and take away.

A great local family owned pizza shop in the neighborhood of Brunswick West. Con the owner is always great to chat with, and a friendly character. I’ve been coming here for 10 years, and still can’t get enough of their Hawaiian pizzas. I highly recommend this pizza shop for its service, quality pizza’s, generous portions and great prices.

Traditional pizzeria that serves great quality food! Eating at Hot Pizza House is always a treat and continually exceeds my expectations. I've been coming here for the past few months as I've just moved to the area and definitely the most reasonably priced Pizza Shop I've tried in Brunswick. You can't go past the margarita or home made spaghetti bolognese, reminds me of the pizzerias back home in Italy. 10/10!!

Good pizza well priced, be aware there is no eftpos so bring your cash as it's recommended! Really nice owner who works there putting the c back into community!
Outstanding Pizza!! I have been in Melbourne for 6 months and this is one, if not the best pizza shop I've come across whilst here. The pizza base nice and crispy, the pizzas cooked well with nice tasty flavour. I usually am having pizza twice a week ever since I've been down from Sydney and cannot fault the place. Highly recommend.

Unfortunately my worst pizza experience ever. The sheer smell of the ham was enough for me to contemplate sending it back. I expect little when eating processed ingredients on pizza, however this was well below the worst pizza I had previously had. Cheap ingredients, poorly made pizza base with little to no idea of how to make a pizza it would seem. Service was fine however I can't recommend.

A great place to eat! Always busy and jam packed when I come to Hot Pizza House on the weekends with my girlfriend. For good reason too, I love the pizza here. It's great to see a suburban pizza place that still makes traditional pizzas well. Our favourite is sharing a Large Hot Special and Garlic Bread.

Pizza was ordered over the phone and we were told it would take 40 minutes to deliver. After 1 hour we called the shop to see where the pizza was and we were informed the pizza was still in the oven! Finally after an hour and a half the pizza arrived and was average with little to no cheese and garlic bread that consisted of just a few bits of toast with butter. Would not recommend this pizza place to anyone!

Fabulous pizza . I ordered for 2 pizza and both of them are great . We all liked it . There is plenty of topping on pizza . I have eaten pizza from Roy's as well but hot pizza house is better than Roy's .

Great service, great pizzas, great prices. Always feel really welcomed going into this place. They also open a lot later than everything else around Brunswick West which is really handy. Nothing too exotic on the menu, but what they do, they do really well.

I'm giving this place a 10/10 on the merits of what it is, not what it isn't. If I was still a teenager or uni student this would be my go-to pizza shop, the price is right, the pizzas are big, I love the inside, the staff seemed genuinely nice. There's no gourmet pizzas on the menu, it's a straight up pizza house. In fact the menu board looks unchanged since whenever it first opened which is pretty cute. Don't come here expecting a gourmet pizza, I admit that's what I was after the first time but I had to accept it's standard pizza at a great price. Pretty sure it's cash-only though so be prepared

Best pizza EVER!!!!

Superb pastas!. Thought I'd give this place a try having a few friends over and looking for a Pizza Shop in the Brunswick area.
I was impressed, I ordered 2 raviolis and 2 spaghetti bologneses. The meat sauce was terrific, usually places
I've been to have been so disappointing when I order a take away pasta from a Pizza Shop, but not Hot Pizza House.
My friends thought the same and were very surprised with the quality of the pastas, very tasty. Seems to be a little local treasure within Brunswick. Will be back for more fantastic pasta and make sure to try the ravioli!

This pizza take out is unreal!! Pizza quality is the real deal. The garlic bread is sensational and different. Ive been to a lot of pizza joints, but this is currently ranked at no.1 in my books. Different size at different prices but outstandingly cheap. 9/10

Horrible experience.. I ordered a pizza for delivery and it took well over an hour to come. When it finally arrived I was absolutely starving and would usually have demolished a large pizza, but I couldn't bring myself to finish the crap that they provided. Low quality ingredients, very soggy, tasted awful. I only tried this place because my usual joint was closed for Christmas/New Year break, and I will never ever eat from here again. Pay a little bit more from somewhere else and get something that's actually edible.
