Great ambience - classy renovation of old building retaining rustic charm; excellent service - inventive barman; lovely food - lamb rump was sensational.
There’s been a lot of change in Bunbury in recent times, which is not only great for visiting tourists but also for locals in this lovely coastal town, bringing more opportunities for a nice night out. Sala Wine Lounge, from the talented Jason Casella and team, delivers, with an intimate wine bar that is cosy and inviting.
The first thing that catches my eye is the impressive, grand, wooden door and I instantly feel like this place has style and sophistication (I’m a sucker for a grand entry). Taking place in the old Hogs Breath building they have achieved great things with the refit, as from the inside it looks nothing like its former self. Exposed brick, pendant lights, timber flooring and some comfy couch seating. Sala feels upscale and somewhere you’d quite happily sit and indulge in delicious food and wine.
Well all I can say is simply the best in Bunbury - service, wine, cocktails first class... A big night at this establish and can't fault it.. A perfect venue
A cosy little lounge that attracts a large crowd on a Saturday night with an extensive wine list (and cocktails / spirits for those who aren't so fond of wine) along with a selection of tapas style food.
Cheapest bottle of wine will set you back around $40 but each selection seems to have a purpose on the menu and loads of variety to choose from including local and imported.
Food was fresh and tasty, well presented and reasonably priced for the portions sizes. A twist on some regulars, like the lamb sliders or the waldorf scallops. Do yourself a favour and order the bacon and cheese balls (deep fried macaroni balls = drool)
Service was attentive and speedy given the volume of patrons. There was a bit of confusion as a dish that wasn't ordered was delivered to our table but was left with us complimentary after we alerted the staff.
Only slight negative is the music volume - was a bit hard to hear within our group over the crowd and music, but this could be because of our location which was at the back of the lounge. All in all, would definitely return!
Can’t rate highly enough. Great food, awesome atmosphere and friendly service. You’ve done a great job fellas, I’ll be in again soon!
Great food, Great service and good live entertainment.
Sala is always great. Their food is quality, they have a fantastic drinks list and the staff are super knowledgeable, efficient and friendly. Their kitchen is open till quite late too even on random weekday nights which is awesome when you are the type of person who goes out on random weekday nights. Sala is definitely on my list of "go to" places in Bunbury
Friendly service great food and live music what more do you want when you and your wife go out. Just awesome. We will be back.
Cool decor, great beer menu and good service
We were prompted with advice on beers to try and testers given
We didn’t have any wine on the evening we were there but the menu looked the business.
Food menu also looked impressive so another visit is on the cards
Great customer service, wide drink selection, tasty food choices options and overall staff were very friendly. Meal arrived in a timely manner, was delicious and our table was cleared promptly. Fantastic vibe and an awesome place to hang out in Bunbury. Will be back for sure.
Friendly, knowledgeable staff who are happy to help. Cosy place to hang out and have a drink. Ambience is great. The upstairs loft is also nice. Haven't tried the food there yet but hoping it's as good as the rest.
