Stayed in Marysville and went to the Bucky pub for lunch friendly staff and the lady on the bar so helpful and chatted about the area and things to
do while we were there the food very large and tasty what you expect from a country pub loved the place and will come back again not often you get hospitality and good service

The pub has a great friendly atmosphere and the beer was great too
On Friday night I had a Chicken Parmigiana, which was very tasty and the Garlic Bread was crispy as well. Marjorie had the Thai Chicken Curry and Rob had the same as me but I can't remember what Denise and John had also the staff were kind to us and the service was quick.
I loved dinner here! The place was full of character and characters! The service was awesome and the food was really yummy - a great dinner by the crackling fire. There was a chook raffle and lots of fun in the bistro and the front bar. Highly recommend (and don't arrive and be a pretentious wanker wanting things instantly and being demanding; you are in the country so experience a country pub, they way its supposed to be!).
We turned up for lunch today with a large group of adults & kids. Really good service, nice big meals, reasonably priced drinks, and a nice relaxed atmosphere. We'll definitely be back!
Great pizza and parmigiana
Wow, Thanks for dinner. We went 4x4 all day, ended at the Buxton hotel for dinner 14 of us, Saturday night, Waitress said "No Problems will put tables together for you" Dinner was amazing, My only complaint was it was too big for me to fit in the range of desserts on offer. Thank you to all the staff who made this hotel special
Cooked our fishes. Went to the neighbouring fish farm with the kids to fish our lunch: trouts ($15 per kg) or salmons ($25 per kg) depending on your luck. This hotel takes the fishes and cooks them for you; it only costs $10 per person for them to serve the whole roasted fishes with chips and salad. Brilliant!!
Our trouts were perfectly cooked within 30 minutes, so fresh and tasty with a drizzle of lemon. Definitely the best way to get the kids to enjoy their catch.
Great service and food (big serving sizes) even recently acquiring a very polite ginger cat, would recommend the vegetarian pasta dish.
We rented a holiday house in Buxton for the weekend and went here for dinner after visiting the snow. The chicken parma was one of the best I'd ever had, delicious and juicy, the chips were done well, the staff were friendly enough, serving sizes were average. There was a $2 surcharge for veggies on the kids meal because veggies are expensive at the moment.
My friends ordered a lemon, lime & bitters which was made from scratch, not just poured from a bottle, and they said it was done very well.
There was an open fireplace which was nice, but our eyes were stinging from the smoky odour throughout the dining room. FYI there was a cat curled up in front of the fire, which delighted the kids, however I'm not sure if this is within regulations for a restaurant? Also my daughter is allergic to cats, which is a shame, as we didn't expect her to come across a cat so hadn't given her antihistamine prior.
Would we go back should we stay in Buxton again? Yes, we would.
Great food, the Chicken Parmigiana was cooked so well! I got the Buxton Burner which is jalapenos, hot sauce and salami as the topping, the staff are all really lovely as well, with great service.
Amazing food..We drive around 1.5 hours from home just to dine in here..Been here several times...never ever disappointed.. very friendly staff as well. Really worth it..
Loved the pub. Stopped off for a quick pint on the way back from cathedral range. Bar lady was welcoming and the pub itself was an awesome country pub! If they had camping out the back I'd come for the weekend!
Staff were friendly and the food was good. Very welcoming environment and locals.
