Wonderful restaurant with wonderful food and great service. A couple of nice cheeky Shiraz on the wine list also, can’t recommend it highly enough.
Thank you for a great evening, all 10 of us very happy indeed.
Had dinner here tonight with my wife while on our honey moon the food is spectacular and the hostess was fantastic was a really French experience I highly recommend coming here when in Byron bay
Best French I had for a while was so good, we cancel our reservation and came back the next day . Good wine 🍷 list great food🐌🐌
Wonderful dining experience ! Thank you for amazing food & delightful service.
I can so recommend this wonderful French reastaurant ! We will certainly be back again in our next visit to Bryon & bringing our overseas friends.
Would absolutely recommend! The staff are beautiful, the food is exquisite (would definitely suggest the steak tartare!), the selection of beers and wines were incredible and the special surprise for dad's birthday was an absolute treat.
Thank you to the whole team, especially Alex, Chauby and Igor!
Really enjoyed out dinner at petit snail. Very tolerant of our baby who was mostly well behaved. Between us we dined on soup, pate, fish, steak, goats cheese, sorbet, creme brûlée, oh and loads of other stuff which was all lovely. A bottle of chateuneuf de pape made it all wonderful. Thanks 😘
Highly recommend! Excellent food and service
This resturant was amazing. The food was glorious. The service was wonderful. The new owners are beautiful people. I would highly recommend this Byron Bay gem.
My favourite restaurant in the world (so far).... and im in my mid forties and LOVE good food so have tried many places
Escargot was splendid....give it a go!
Cannot wait to go back to Byron Bay and eat here again....its a tradition on our last night of every trip!
First time dining in a french restaurant and eating escargot, loved the atmosphere and the staff were so lovely. Definitely a highlight of our trip to Byron Bay.
Only two things stop perfection. Both my problem.
1) I wanted dessert but could not eat any more.
2) It is not in Brisbane where we live
If/when we get back to Byron we will be booking our table.
We had an outstanding 2 course meal here. The food we ordered was beautiful and the service excellent. It's an intimate, cozy and quiet restaurant. An excellent choice for special occasions.
Great food and customer service, Lulu is also excellent at helping you with your French pronunciation. 🐌
One of the best restaurants in Byron Bay. Definitely 1 restaurant to try if you are there a few days.
Firstly I’d like to say the waitress was lovely and full of energy. It gave a wonderful French vibe to the place. The food was nice but nothing to rave about. The creme brûlée however had really good flavour and texture. Generous serving of it too.
My husband and I went to the petit snail to celebrate my birthday, the services of the French waitresses are sweet and nice. Food are delicious, totally worth the money. Visitor shall go and give a try for sure.
Amazing food! Took me back to France!
We had the duck confit, pork and the chocolate foundant ❤️❤️❤️
Simple great and amazing service as well! Recommend 100%!
The service was really friendly and attentive. The food seemed very authentic with quality ingredients. The restaurant was so cute and cosy! Overall, wonderful experience!
Went here for our anniversary dinner and absolutely loved it! Service was amazing, loved the atmosphere and the food was beautiful. Would definitely return.
The food in Byron Bay exceeded expectations when the weather failed to live up to its usual sunny reputation post Cyclone Debbie. Our gastronomic adventure included the pizzas of Il Buco, the tapas at St Elmo, Mexican at Miss Margarita, and ended fittingly at The Petit Snail. With husband Gael at the helm in the kitchen, the charming and enthusiastic Lulu made us feel like guests at their home. Two course with wine is approximately $60 and three courses with wine $75. It was certainly worth it. Good French cuisine in Byron Bay; I would never have thought.
Very good customer service. We were very well looked after. The food is nice. Will be back with friends. We really enjoy the dining in experience in this little family restaurant. The atmosphere is so good, friendly and welcoming. Feel like somewhere in France especially when the music is on.
honestly one of the best dinners we've ever had... and we like to eat! the snails were so tender and delicious, and the venison terrine had layers of flavour. Chauby recommended perfectly paired wines and mixed a delicious steak tartare at our table. she knew her husband, Igor's dishes like the back of her hand and seemed so genuinely happy to be feeding us. she heaped sauce on our duck legs like a European mother and predicted perfectly how we would like to share everything. presentation was simple, the flavours speaking for themselves and nothing on the plate that hadn't been carefully considered. 3 cheeses (a Brie a goats and a delicious Roquefort) and a fabulous creme brûlée to finish with Sauternes. I highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Byron bay.
Wonderful experience and excellent chef. Transported us back to Europe. Thank you to the staff for the gracious service. We can't wait to come back!
Heart Warming Experience. Dominique, Igor,
I felt the need to come home and write this review straight away as never before have I felt so welcome in a restaurant. The Petit Snail is by far the best wholistic restaurant experience I have had, the food was amazing, the service impeccable and above all we were made to feel as though you were welcoming us and everyone else who arrived into your home rather than your restaurant. We will be back soon to enjoy some of Igor's amazing cooking again! For those who enjoy fine food, the scallops were amazing and if you like your steak blue, this is the place to have it.
Great Food & Great Service. If your in Byron you must check out this place!! The friendly and informative owners and staff is just the start. My partner & I ordered the homemade pate to share for a entree which was lovely, our waitress brought out complimentary beetroot and mousse and wine sorbet palate cleaners which was a great touch. For mains he the steak with blue cheese sauce which was insanely good. Soft tender meat with a rich sauce. We just about left room for a creme brulee to share and what a way to finish off a meal. Hands down the best brulee my mouth had experienced. There was plenty of ohhhh, yummmm, ohh myyy's coming from our table when we tucked into this. Thank you for a great meal and great experience, we will be back when in the lovely Byron Bay next time!
Great food - all delicious!! Service was excellent also, very enthusiastic and made you feel valued as a customer. Great for a date night!
Wonderful service & sensational food!!! Highly recommended. Love it & we'll be back.
The best creme brûlée and best pâté in australia and probably the world... Big call i know, the service and experience is up there too!!! Enjoy
We dined with you last week on our wedding anniversary. What a wonderful night of spectacular food and service. Igor and Chauby are enthusiastic and passionate about their restaurant and so they should be- its the best we've experienced in Australia. My husband said the steak with blue cheese sauce was the best he has tasted and couldn't believe he didn't need a steak knife- it was cooked to perfection. I thoroughly enjoyed the fresh and succulent scallops also cooked perfectly. We will be recommending the Petit Snail to everyone and planning our next return.
Very authentic, the staff made us feel very relaxed and comfortable. I felt like I was a long lost relative because they treated us so well. I enjoyed the garlic snails as a entrée and the special mussels as a main. My wife was very pleased with the scallops as the entrée and the cheese pancake as a main. I would suggest to book well in advance. I highly recommend the petit snail.
Beautiful french restaurant with lovely parisien hostess who is married to the french chef Igor. they made us feel sl at home with Igor regularly asking if we liked his cooking. scallops to start were perfectly cooked..the steak in roquefort also..and the creme brulee dessert was the best ever..the caramelised sugar topping was so crisp and the vanilla so good. def worth a visit and considering the quality and intimate service it is reasonably priced.
THIS IS THE BEST RESTAURANT I HAVE BEEN TO IN MONTHS!!!
are you looking for that special restaurant with excellent food and really great atmosphere this is it...what a surprise...in byron.....we did not expect to be blown away...the chef Igor is excellent and his wife is an outstanding hostess....this place has already won awards but will more...what a find!!!!!!!!!!!
Fantastic! Highly recommend this place. Authentic French chef and staff. Great hospitality and fast service. Try the snails and creme caramel. Maybe not together.
Our children were welcome too. We were on holiday in Byron Bay visiting old friends. We wanted to repay their hospitality so we told them to make a booking at a restaurant of their choice which is how we found the Petit Snail. There were 8 of us: 4 adults and the 4 children, aged between 7 and 12. We had a delightful evening, not the least because of the warm welcome given and the genuine inclusiveness of us all by our hostess, the bustling but attentive Dominique. There was a general happy atmosphere, the food was great - something for everyone - and the children had their first experience of adults eating out and .....bouillabaisse! Squeals of delight from the girls as the owner / chef Igor played up to them with the crustaceans in their bowls. It was a wonderful evening, and so much more than just the great food. Thank you - we will be back when we next visit.
A little piece of France. We have not had a truly authentic French dining experience, nor wholesome traditional French dishes like this since we were in France itself.
The service was refreshingly passionate and honest. The menu matched perfectly. If you're a fan of French wine and Belgian beer, you'll find some of the best here.
The Petit Snail is quite simply the best French restaurant I've been to in Australia.
