We didn’t realise it was opening night at Vitalia’s restaurant on the Pier in Cairns until later in the evening. There was definitely a party mood all night. We had a great time, good service and delicious food. My eggplant parmigiana was amazing and I will be back for more of that 💜
Came here for dinner for our anniversary and it was amazing!! They have a full vegan menu & I had a ravioli which was sooo delicious. Had live music playing & the waitresses were so lovely!!
Great service and exceptional food. Thanks for a wonderful evening. The beetroot gnocci and seafood pasta were unforgettable. Highly recommend.
Before my review, my experience was during 2022 Valentine's special, which included a starter, a main dish and a dessert.
The good:
Staff - awesome, quite helpful.
Food - it was amazing, great dishes and quite tasty.
Presentation - dishes were quite elegant and beautifully presented. However, the tables had a plastic cover that did not help with the aesthetic of the restaurant.
Price - I was surprised by how great the price was but this might have been due to the Valentine's special.
The bad:

Very good restaurant!
Only downsides: we had a booking and went to wait to be seated. Two staff members were chatting and one had our back to us. We had to let them know we were there by interupting their chat. We also had to wait a while to be served and for our plates to be cleared however the restaurant was full! So understandable.
The food came out pretty quickly which was great. We didn't have to wait long.
I ordered a ravioli which was AMAZING! So delicious! My partner got a mushroom pasta in white sauce which also delicious (I had to keep stealing bites, but we were happy to share).
We also shared a tiramisu which was delicious too. It was very busy, and people were getting turned away so obviously a very good restaurant. Make sure to book!
My partner also had a limoncello cocktail which he enjoys a lot.
Many vegetarian options, and some vegan options.
The man who I spoke to when paying was extremely friendly and nice. He was super pleasant. All staff I spoke to were very polite and kind.
Would highly recommend going here and booking ahead!
Edit: came here for lunch a few days later (5th july tuesday) and got a marg pizza. Was again impressed and the staff were incredibly friendly! Special thank you to the really friendly and kind staff working that day.
Also the views are incredible while eating here!
Great location looking over the marina and undercover parking under the pier for 2 hours. Wide selection of Italian beers. Try the blondes. The home made pasta not as fresh as expected. Was still quite good but was not amazing. No pizzas at lunchtime. Also good selection of Italian wine. Steak good quality and plenty of greens and tomatoes with it.

I couldn't find authentic Italian pizza in Queensland, but I finally found it in Cairns! It is the best! The dough is thin and not oily at all. The cheese and toppings are top quality. The rice of the arancini could be more seasoned, but that is just my personal taste. The tomato sauce on the contrary was beautiful. Next time I want to try their desserts. The service was warm and the interior is very cute. I will definitely return.
Fantastic Italian restaurant in a prime location on the marina. 5 of us dined last night enjoying large, generous portions, fresh seafood and possible the best gelato we’ve ever tasted! There’s an atmosphere of generosity and frivolity too, and lively Happy Birthday singing! Worth a visit, bring friends!
We have had a wonderful dinner last night. We ordered the signature gnocchi pom vegan, TARTARE DI SALMONE AFFUMICATO,Calamari&chips all were delicious. Will definitely come back next time.
