The food was delicious, we got the 7 course meal and also added an additional steak tartar. Everything was perfect from the food, to the service to the ambiance. Well worth the price tag.

I dined here with my boyfriend for a special dinner and we were blown away with the place. The service was outstanding!! I had been recommended the duck curry and I was beyond impressed, so flavoursome and huge! Mu boyfriend had the pork which was a little dry but the dish was redeemed with the pork coquettes. We shared the chocolate and raspberry dessert which was delicious and plenty for two.

Great experience with the degustation 7 courses. Everything was spot on with every course a winner. The staff were very attentive and experienced and did not miss a beat . Would highly recommend

Excellent experience and a journey through various elements and superb mixtures of flavours.

The 7 course tasting menu was a perfect choice for dinner and quite filling.

The seven course degustation was a delightful experience. The service was top quality. Did not wine match though - Maybe next time. If you like degustations this is definitely worth a try.

Great food, attentive service and an amazing  experience.
Had the degustation with matching wines. The restaurant catered for vegetarian and non vegetarian options at degustation.
Would highly recommend a visit if you're in cairns

Service as great. Food was amazingly good. Wife had the Barra, daughter had the pork, and I had the duck curry. We started with a tasting plate which start the meal well. Excited us for the rest of the meal. We order the fried rice and wok greens as sides. All plate where great. Price on high side but worth it.

The duck curry was amazing. So full of flavour and cooked to perfection. The gold band snapper was good too, although I wasn't a big fan of the fish the prawn noodle was certainly different and a pleasant surprise to what I was expecting. We ordered the baklava as desert. The baklava itself wasn't that great, however the honey mousse was divine! Presentation of the dishes and the service was top notch! Definitely recommend this!

I've been going to Tamarind for years! It's by far the best restaurant in Cairns!

The food is always amazing! The Service for a Cairns restaurant is good and that's saying something! The decor is lovely and it really looks like a classy place that you would be happy to dress up for.

I took a friend there from work last Thursday night! I promised her that this would be the best restaurant in Cairns and she went away from the evening agreeing.

We had the Pan seared scallops and the Citrus infused Tuna. Both fantastic.

For mains we had there two long term favorite dishes the whole crispy baby barramundi and the the amazing Penang duck curry. Yum yum yum

Our bill for two entrees two mains two cocktails and a bottle for of wine was just on $200. So many average restaurants in Cairns cost just as much so it's good value for money.

Do your self a favor and make a booking for Tamarind.

WOW what an amazing restaurant. I was in Cairns for a night and was told by friends to come here. I had the pork belly with the 5 spices an I nearly drowned with the salivation overflow in my mouth. My partner had the Barramundi which had the WOW-FACTOR....!!  Service is the best, and the food even better, Next time I'm in Cairns, I will Return. Thank you

Fantastic fine dining experience! Went with my family and friends for a fancy 3-course dinner there. Service was wonderful and the food was delicious and surprisingly filling. Didn’t catch the name of our waiter that was serving us, but he was very affable and proficient. We had a private room which was stylish and luxurious, yet peaceful and relaxing. All in all, a very brilliant place to enjoy and appreciate a fine cuisine!

I had the whole fish it was delish. Hubby had pork belly says it was yummy but serving size was on the smaller side. I loved my panna cotta but the black rice dessert was a bit of a let down. Service was amazing thank you

Absolutely wonderful food and service in an elegant yet relaxed atmosphere. All the dishes were delicious but our favourite was the pannacotta with chocolate and raspberries three ways. A feast for the eyes and the palate!

What a surprise! This is really a gem. Book ahead because it is booked out in advance. Great attention to detail and fantastic quality food with service to match. Highly recommend. New menu has just arrived. Fantastic steak dish and retains some favourites including the whole barramundi.

went for dinner for my partner and I's three years together. service was amazing. Didnt catch the name of the lady serving us but she was so polite and knowledgeable (she might have been from NZ) we also got our food served by another lovely person named Kimmy. 100% recommended
