Seafood is a bit so-so đđź I am a big fan of Oysters, but I couldnât taste the freshness of the oysters from this restaurant. It is also a smaller size which I donât like.
The âCoconut Crumbed Prawnsâ were decent, though I do not consider it as Main Seafood as it felt like it was an Entree.
âPrawn Spring Rollsâ were a bit dry and is on the saltier side.
We tried the infamous âChowderâ and it was beautiful, hence the 3âď¸ We also enjoyed the salads that came with the dish.
We paid roughly $100 for all the meals. I thought it was a bit expensive considering the quality and quantity of the food, but considering that it is on the higher end restaurant, I guess it is only appropriate.

Wonderful chill atmosphere with ocean views, really happy and professional staff but let me tell you about the fish and chips!! Ok it's probably the most crispy and the freshest, the tastiest fish and chips I've had!! If you are standing out the front the answer is a hard yes, come in and try it!

The staff very friendly and good service . Food was ok but the fish unfortunately was dry and I couldn't taste the "macadamia lemon myrtle" and it wasn't cheap (35$) Tacos was good but only two tacos for an adult meal without salad/chips. Overpriced/amount. Mango juice ok.

Great attentive staff and good variety of seafood dishes. No pork, chicken, beef options just seafood and how it's matched with sauces and sides is at first unexpected but when eaten brilliant.

The service was great! The cocktail average and unfortunately for the cost of the food it was below average and looked as good as it tasted. There are many more options ro choose from on the Esplanade in Cairns

Pasta was a little bland, and seafood overcooked. However the seafood chowder was very good.
Staff were ok, tried to charge us $15 for a Chardonnay when we ordered the $8 house white, and forgot to place our order for bruchetta. May Need a little more training.

Decided to scan the esplanade for lunch yesterday and we ended up here . perfectly cooked fish fresh chips the service was excellent , food was delicious. will definitely be back

Dinner here on Sunday night. We were served by the lovely Ellie who was very attentive, cheery and helpful. Had the chowder and chilli salt calamari for entree. Eye fillet and seafood marinara for main. All meals were delicious and a good size. Service was quick. Prices are average compared to similar restaurants. Not cheap but not expensive. Iâd recommend a visit.

We were recommended to have dinner at Splash by a local when we were in the market. And what a delightful evening we had on our final night in Cairns.
The friendly staff made us comfortable and relaxed while delivering professional service.
The menu was mouthwatering with locally caught fish and seafood from this family business.
The chef presented numerous options to please cultural diversity. The platting was innovative and the tastes perfectly matched to incorporate delicious flavours to tempt our palette.
The wines were well matched and the complimentary musket was the perfect finish to the evening.
I wish we could have fitted a dessert in but the generous main courses were more than adequate.
Splash is certainly on our list when we return , especially the special lunch time menu that offers bang for your buck.

We had lunch there my wife had the seafood chowder and i had the mackerel with salad. Excellent food and service would definitely eat there again, staff and service did a top job as well making us feel welcome. Compliments to the chef and all who works there.

The food is so delicious.. but I love this place because of the awesome service. The staff give just the right amount of attention.. not hovering around constantly.. or leaving us to always having to ask for service. The staff know the menu really well.. and always happy to help. We went to Splash because of the positive reviews and never could have we foreseen such a terrible experience: a little objection about the food unleashed the rudeness and volgarity of the waiter (middle age, strong French accent).
To the point where he called us names in French (which I speak also) and gave us the finger in front of a whole table of other customers whilst we were leaving.
I'm only grateful for another staff stepping in (blonde lady, supervisor I guess) and sincerely apologising to us - amongst others, I was there with my 3 y.o. girl.
Also, another staff came to check in on us and admitted that waiter had previously received similar complaints because of his attitude.
My message to the owners would be to seriously consider a disciplinary action against this person because the rudeness we've experienced would have also been witnessed by others, and that's unacceptable in my opinion.
