Review La Fettuccina - Cairns

Had a great experience at the La Fettuccina Restaurant. The service staff are great and friendly. The food was amazing as well and sharing is possible. In particular, my family and I enjoyed the scallops, raw beef and risotto. The sticky date dessert was super good too that in fact, I think the restaurant can consider adding it to their menu officially. Thankful for the wonderful dinner experience.

Holidayed from the Sunshine Coast to Cairns, ate at some great restaurants and this was the Jewel in the crown. Fresh seafood and pasta. Fantastic flavours, great atmosphere and service. Congrats to the proprietors you have excelled.

We got there about 7 pm and got the last table so it may pay to book ahead. Prices are fair and the food good. Try the scallop entree. All good. Jim

We had dinner there, it was absolutely superb! Some of the best pasta I've ever had, the service was great & you could tell how passionate the owner was about his restaurant. I recommend these guys.

Great food and service. I was cold and the server brought me a shawl. Nothing was too much trouble!

Well what a night.. The staff were lovely, John the owner was very welcoming, and at the end of the night he and the head chef came out and sat down and had a chat with us. The food is scrumptious, we had a taster entree of scallops cooked in a lemony butter garlic sauce, bruschetta and garlic bread, mains we had a variety of food between pasta dishes and meat dishes, just wanted to try everything. Then dessert had a good array of choices we decided on the traditional tiramisu, it was so good and a decent size. In fact all the dishes sizes were quite large. We topped the night off with a glass of Port compliments of the owner, because it was our 30th wedding anniversary. Definitely glad my son suggested going here, good to support a family run business. Will definitely be back!

Delicious meal, great service, reasonable prices. The veal really was veal, not yearly beef and the seafood dish superb. Best we've found in Cairns and on a par with any of the best in Melbourne. We'll be back.

Love this place, best Italian meal in the universe!! Came up from Brisbane just to have my fix of the carpaccio- Devine!!

Food is always great and so is the service. My favourite place to eat out.

Just a heads up that you can only do one card transaction per table.. so unless you have the correct change in cash you cannot split the bill between your table. Unfortunately we weren't aware of this before we sat down to order and were made to go to the nearest ATM which was at cairns central (walking!) to get out the money to pay for our bill, while one of us stayed so they knew we wouldn't dine and ditch. The two ladies on the floor told us and were adamant it was on the menu which we should have read prior to ordering- however when I pulled out the menu to show them it was not written on there. Half the menus had it written on the bottom of the first page which wouldn't be seen unless you were considering a entree and the other half it was missing. Apparently they couldn't do anything to compensate for this even though we were correct in the fact we weren't aware and were not told when we sat at the table. We asked to speak to the manager or someone higher up (who I guess was the head chef) who couldn't leave the kitchen to speak to us. The food was very nice but the service was terrible with how they dealt with the situation. Once we paid and left we could hear the poor girl being screamed at by the chef and saying 'it's on the menu!! They have to pay!' If he actually came out to speak with us we could have explained the situation and shown him that the menu was incorrect and it would have saved her from being yelled at as well.

Excellent food at very reasonable prices with good service. A hidden gem in Cairns!

La Fettuccina is my favourite restaurant in Cairns, being a local it's hard to find restaurants you can keep going back to. Went tonight and had awesome specials and my favourite pasta and as it was my husbands birthday we share a dessert dark chocolate mousse OMG! Best dessert ever! Staff always smile and the owners are the best, thanks for a great evening and great food John Japp

Simply put, excellent Italian food and great service. My number 1 go-to restaurant in Cairns.

Great flavour but little bit pricey. Good for special occasions

John & Andrea catered our wedding this weekend, their food was nothing short of spectacular all of our 130 guests agreed. Their service was impeccable, Between them and their staff they went above and beyond. Thank you for making one of the biggest choices for our wedding so easy and completely stress free.
