Absolutely love this place if you're looking to go out somewhere where you can hear, underground cairn's music that you don't hear every day. With a Latin-American twist. Unfortunately it's bring your own because they do not serve alcohol. The décor is very Chateau laqua and relaxing.

Terrific little music venue. The bar snacks were good and very reasonably priced. We saw 8Ball Aitken and Jess and they were fabulous.

Cosy venue, good for a drink. Varied musicians play here, mainly jazz, but always good. You will be close to the music at this place. Tapas is tasty: all dishes on the menu are good.

This place used to be called Bernies and it was fantastic. The new owners haven't let that fantastic review down. The drinks are great with everything from great wines to fantastic cocktails. But the food is unbelievable. If you're looking for a great main or fantastic tapas this is the place. I had the barra tacos and they were brilliant. Came back the next night and had pork beĺly with scallops...again brilliant. Saw a few people with main menu items and the servings were big. Heard a guy say it was the most tender steak he had. What an amazing little place Elixir is! Everytime I've gone there, it's been cozy yet elegant and always great music playing and loads of live talent on stage. It's a hidden gem in a city sprinkled with a lot of so-so venues. Looking forward to trying out more food and cocktails. The owners Sky & Bill are such beautiful people who really love what they do and it shows in their interactions with their guests. Love it! Keep doing your thing guys :)

Whether you're visiting or local Bernie's is the place to enjoy good music, food and drink in a friendly relaxed atmosphere. Friday and Saturday you'll be entertained by some great exponents of jazz and swing and Saturday some great blues music fills the air. Bernie and Annie are the wonderful hosts. Drop in for some music, a drink and a bite to eat. You won't be disappointed. I loved it.

Last night was fantastic at Elixir Tapas Bar, Blues explosion with a few extra guests, great to see Bill the new owner out mixing with the crowd and having a dance In my words it absolutely "went off" last night, it just gets bigger and better every Sunday..I forgot to mention the regular guests, who are also excellent entertainers, Jim Davies, Vance from the Barbary Coasters.

I can't fault a single thing about this place! The staff and owner fantastic, super friendly and attentive. The live music fantastic and food was also superb! We went for a look for my birthday on a Thursday night and it truely topped my evening off! We will definitely be back, in fact I can't wait! Do yourself a favour and check it out, you will not be disappointed!
