This place used to be called Bernies and it was fantastic. The new owners haven't let that fantastic review down. The drinks are great with everything from great wines to fantastic cocktails. But the food is unbelievable. If you're looking for a great main or fantastic tapas this is the place. I had the barra tacos and they were brilliant. Came back the next night and had pork beĺly with scallops...again brilliant. Saw a few people with main menu items and the servings were big. Heard a guy say it was the most tender steak he had. Honestly, if you like casual dining with nice live music this is the place. The music is varied but live and greatZvezda

Elixir is simply the best live music venue in Cairns. Support for original music, amazing staff, awesome crowd, brilliant atmosphere.... YES, YES and YES!

This place gets better and better! Skye and her family have a genuine passion for art and music and for providing opportunities to original local musicians and composers. Drop in on any night and you'll find something very special on offer... whether it's a singer songwriter performing an original song for the first time or a group of seasoned blues guys rockin the joint you won't be disappointed! Check out their yummy Tapas menu too! Elixir is one of Cairns' genuine gems!!
