One of the best fishmongers in Cairns. Friendly, quick and top quality. I come all the time. Impressive range, lots caught on their own boat. Open every day too, which most aren’t. The BEST range of smoked fish and other seafood, if you are tracking some down for a recipe etc, head straight here! (NB No Cooked food eg fish and chips. Some other reviews around seem to have them confused with other businesses)
At the moment this is the best fresh seafood in Cairns. The oysters are the best. The prawns and bugs are also the best around. Very impressed with the seafood currently. The best I've had in a long time. Don't waste time or money anywhere else. Hope it lasts.
Local friendly, fresh seafood vendor. We were delighted with the service, quality and range of products on offer. They do stock some excellent Japanese seafood lines also, delicous!!!
Everything frozen when we visited so didn't get the " fabulous array" quoted in other reviews that swayed our choice. We bought some frozen snapper which I must admit was very good after defrosting in fridge overnight. Clearly had been snap frozen and stored well. We will try again when their owned boat is operating for fresh caught offerings.
A BIG THANK YOU to the guys @ Captain Cook Seafood for the BEST seafood in North Queensland! We recently ordered live crabs, Whole Red Emperor, sea scallops, banana prawns, oysters....wow...it was all so delicious.
