Absolutely amazing restaurant! The menu is inventive and fun, and perfectly executed. Great atmosphere that's accentuated by the view of the vineyard. This is a must do when you visit Hobart.
We did our daughters wedding here in early January, we did the elopement package. Firstly really good value for money and the team were amazing absolutely brilliant! Stephenie and her team are honestly fantastic , everything ran like clockwork and we were able to enjoy our daughters wedding! The food as always was great highlighting our deserts wow! Thank you
A wonderfully warm welcome from Vaia and our long lunch started off perfectly. We were seated by the window overlooking the vineyard and invited to a tasting of four of the cellar door wines - excellent (and allowed us to choose the wines to have with lunch).
We started off with artisan bread with local salted butter, olive oil and balsamic reduction (a range of fresh delicious bread). I then had the Moroccan spiced lamb backstrap, pearl couscous, roasted eggplant relish and rosewater yoghurt which was a generous serve and tasty combination of flavours. My husband had the Tamarind glazed Scottsdale pork belly, kimchee, apple puree, pulled pork croquette which he said was sublime - totally amazing and perfectly cooked (the meat was moist and soft and crispy in the right places, fat was well rendered off).
We decided to indulge in dessert and wow, wow, wow the desserts were just incredible. I indulged in the Saturn - chocolate Frangelico mousse, chocolate and hazelnut crumb, raspberry sorbet and praline which was incredible! And my husband had the cheeses for one - a selection of three cheeses served with sesame lavosh, fig and walnut crostini, fig puree, apricot jam and candied nuts - he loved every element and there was nothing left on the plate.
A wonderful spot for a long lunch.
