The food was really amazing! I really liked the sirloin steak, with the perfect crispy chips. The salmon was nice too. There was also a chef's selection menu for Nov and Dec which I want to try next time. The staffs were very very friendly here!!! They were all keen to help and their smiles made me happy;)
The Norths is definitely not your typical leagues club - the decor is beautiful and roomy, featuring hanging plants and murals. It's a lovely space for a casual lunch and is great for large groups. The food is great - a refined take on pub food to match the changing way we eat. Would definitely be back!
First things first - it's a club. There will be noise, there will be families. It's been this way for the better part of 50 years, and hopefully won't ever change. I used to come to the Leagues with my old man after Bears games, back when dining consisted of a buffet and trays - boy how times have changed.
The new menu contains old club favourites (like the Parma) as well as new 'trendy' dishes, and the decor is definitely not club-like. It wouldn't look out of place in Paddo (even if the clientele would).
The reviewer below would be well served to spend $10 and join the club for a year, as he will discover the savings on offer. Of course, 150 lashes will always be a bit pricey (marketing costs money people!) but if you're looking to quench a hard earned thirst, a schooner of VB is just $4.90 for members. Hard to beat.
The menu offers two price levels (Members and Non-Members) so it pays to join.
Desserts are excellent at the pantry. The tiramisu is made on site and exquisite, while the Eton Mess puts a modern twist on a traditional pleaser.
Service can be patchy, especially when it is busy, but the managers are more than willing to make amends, and it is clear they are still learning the ropes of the higher end hospitality they want to provide.
Overall, get in there and try it out.
With a new look and menu, Norths is the perfect venue for a family meal. The fantastic kids play room is a huge drawcard for families and will entertain kids of of all ages with computer games, TVs, colouring and more.

Went to have a look. Pork belly was just excellent. The Laska soup was far too sweet. Overtones of brown sugar. Menu looks really good. Would return, bedding down period.
