Came for the $10 burger with my partner, he ended up order two they were that good. The surf shack burger was great, but the fried chicken burger blew my mind! Best fried chicken I've ever had, and bonus points for free fries on Friday (the spice mix on these was amazing) Awesome place and I'd highly recommend it

Turned up on a whim to check out the place and was not disappointed! Exceptional service by a wonderful gentleman and the decor was great. We tried the tasting menu of 8 dishes. The food was very tasty with beautiful fusion flavours and was so much we could not finish it all. Will definitely be going back again soon.

With nearly 2000 reviews, does Kokomos need another review? Yes, yes it does. It's a great place for food and drinks, plus the tropical vibe is fun. There are always some issues. Despite these, I know I'll keep returning to Kokomos, just like most of Canberra. For example, I was a bit disappointed when I ordered cocktails with the chooseCBR voucher - the drinks were were mostly ice and very little alcohol. Today I asked one the waitresses to switch on the gas heater but it had run out of gas. The overhead heaters work but not the patio ones. Today, I went in for the Feedme menu, which was absolutely great!!! The portion sizes were extremely generous, and we ended up sharing it between two. We were provided extra share plates. Food breakdown: It's not any particular cuisine, it just matches the decor. Just generally asian/tropical. It was a combination of punchy sour flavours and fried and fatty goodness. A good balance of meat/veges but leaning more towards protein. First up was a kingfish salad, served with sesame leaves. You put the fish inside the leaves, and then wrap it up and shove into your mouth. I've never tasted sesame leaves before, they had a mild flavour and complimented the kingfish. Next up were 3 dishes: a pork bun, fried chicken wings and a pickled cucumber salad. The pork bun was excellent. The bun was soft, the pork was perfectly melt-in-your-mouth fatty. You can't go wrong with some fried chicken wings, although it was kind of boring. The sour salad of avocado, pickled cucumber and seaweed was a strange concoction, but necessary to cut through the grease of the other 2 dishes. It just tasted like pickled cucumbers from a jar. The next 3 dishes were a goat massaman curry, served with a soft coconut roti and a green mango salad. The massaman curry was my favourite dish, the goat was tender and the flavour was absolutely delicious. It came with sweet potato crisps which were kind of overfried and greasy. ( I think they are supposed to be that way to be crispy but perhaps an unnecessary addition). The roti was soft and lovely and the mango salad was not bad either. The salad doesn't quite go together with the curry but oh well, still nice. We also ordered chicken skewers, which was my second favourite. (not included in the Feedme menu) They came with a thick satay sauce, but also a runnier smoky chilli dipping sauce with a bit of vinegar. The combination of the 2 sauces was really nice. Last was a dessert of lemon curd and yuzu granita. The granita was too sour for me. Besides, I don't need ice/granita in the middle of a Canberra winter. The lemon curd had some cream in the middle, and together with the white chocolate pearls, it all just worked. It ended up being a pretty good dessert. Looks weird but legit. I enjoyed everything thoroughly. The waitresses were very kind and bubbly, and I wanted to give them a hug!

Was not expecting that level of food and service. Very impressed. The staff were all great and very helpful and attentive. My initial worries about being left hungry didn't last long. They put a lot of thought into the taste combinations. Some interesting mixes that worked surprisingly well for some of the dishes. Everything was made with fresh ingredients and carefully presented. Melanie and Ricky always there within an instant when we needed anything and were great hosts. The smoked duck was an interesting surprise. I didn't get a photo. Thanks to the whole team for making it a great night out. We both left full and happy.

We had "Feed me" and two desserts. We love every dish except broccoli which was salty. Most of the dish were spicy or raw though. We have to order a separate dish for kids, sadly the kids 'fish and chips' only had three tiny piece of fish in it. The customer service was very welcoming and lively. Love the place.

Oh, man, loved our experience here! Went in for lunch on a lazy Sunday with a small group of four. There were so many things we wanted to try and we were pretty hungry, so we got the Feed Me menu. It did not disappoint! 🤤 Every dish we had was pretty epic, between us we couldn't decide which one we liked best. Plus we had a vegetarian in the group and a rabid carnivore and both were well catered for 🥦🥩 We decided to grab a couple of cocktails and they too, really hit the mark. Just the right balance, not overly sweet. The wine list was pretty well constructed too with something for all tastes🍷 Thanks to the manager, Ryan, who greeted us when we entered and really looked after us while we were there. The experience was a pleasant surprise on a casual afternoon out, can't wait to go back 👍

I've never really thought of going to Kokomo's for lunch, or even dinner before. It has always been a place to go drinking. But we happened to have lunch there today and the food was great. It's run by the same people who run Akiba and the food is similar. They have a lot more seafood though. They do a $25 per person lunch for 5 dishes of your choice. There weren't many people there so we got super fast service. We'll definitely be back.
