I’d do 6 stars if I could. Great vibe at this place. Excellent play list and super friendly staff who seem to enjoy being there. Best coffee I had in Canberra and I do think a serious coffee shop should offer a choice of blends. Three were offered to me and I chose Black Betty. Awesome. Excellent food as well. Pleased I made the effort to find it and I’d love to go back but my plane leaves today! But if I could open a place in the UK it’d be a lot like this.
Excellent food & great coffee - perhaps one of the best coffee's I've ever had !, friendly & attentive staff.
Highly recommend the 'salted caramel shake' sooo delicious.
We went there in our trip to Canberra, we ordered chicken burger and their special French toast, I must say “Best French toast I’ve ever tasted. The burger was super as well. Staff were Super friendly, all in all, highly recommended.
Great cafe using Ona coffee, so the coffee here is quality. Get there early, for the wait is long if you want to dine. So we just had coffee. Prices in Canberra are steep for coffees, at $5.50
no booking in advances but staff was helpful even we are a group of 10, was able to take order for us 14 secs before kitchen close, like their dedication in customer services, we told them theres a birthday among us, they said they could offer candles. menu selection was limited due to covid.
We have visited this cafe a couple of times now and probably tried everything on their menu which is vegetarian. The Black Forest french toast was just amazing. It was so fluffy and not overly sweet. Their medley of mushrooms too is one of favourites.
Overall a great cafe can get really busy but the staff are lovely and food gets delivered really quick.
The foods here were great, in general, and the sauce and seasoning here do seperate them from other Brunch cafe.
I had heard so much about The Cupping Room and it certainly lived up to the hype.
The coffee is excellent and the waiting staff are on the ball with helping you choose their house blends. I chose the ‘Black Betty’ which was a full bodied coffee with notes of chocolate and malt.
Now on to the food. One word excellent. I rarely order French Toast as it can be too sickly sweet. Their French Toast (pictured) was perfect - not too sweet, perfect amount of fruit and I loved the Oreo crumb. The Fritters (pictured) made with ham hock were a crummy. I loved that they were served with a spicy szechuan mayo.
I will be back when I visit Canberra again. #cuppingroom
Amazing food! My husband and I had to wait 30 mins for a table on Sunday but it was worth it! Top place for brunch in Canberra for sure 😊🙏🏻
Amazing food and service. Highly recommended.
Mushroom on weekend menu is really good! Love the 63 degree poached egg!!
Kian very generously wrote down a list of bars, restaurants and cafes to try in Canberra after he learnt that I was visiting for the first time. He pointed to Bar Rochford as the best bar in Australia in 2018 as voted by the Gourmet Traveller. Perhaps best cafe in Australia should go to The Cupping Room. Killer coffee and possibly the best smashed avo I’ve ever had. Its 4.9 rating on Zomato is truly well-deserved and it would have the top cafes in Melbourne shaking in their boots if it ever decided to open up over there.
