Decent amount of food but milk shake was average (it tasted like chocolate meal replacement drink😐). As you can see, food looks so pretty😍 I'd go back for qt dessert nek time!
Ricardo's at Jamison Plaza is a popular place for coffee and breakfast/lunch. They have a separate vegan menu, as well as a couple of vegan dessert options on display at the counter. We went at breakfast time and ordered the big breakfast, granola and raw snickers bar. The servings were quite generous, so we left feeling very satisfied. The raw snickers bar was probably big enough for four people. The granola came with fresh fruit and some dollops of what seemed like a vegan lemon butter. Very nice indeed.
Absolutely buzzing here. Finally checked out this place after hearing many great reviews from friends. Enjoyed a mocha and malteser cake. Mocha was perfectly balanced and not too sweet but the temperature could have been much warmer. The cake I had was beautifully decorated but almost a bit too chilled. Reasonably priced for the portion size you get. Looking around the meals looked quiet generous in serving size as well. I was excited to try everything at once but I'll pace myself out and definitely be back for a meal and more !
Went here earlier today after I finished my night shift at work. Efficient service, food and coffee were served immediately ( which was good, because by that time I was ravenously hungry). I ordered the zucchini and corn fritters, which came with two poached eggs, pearl couscous salad and the pink sauce. What deterred me was the fact that it was a cold morning and they did not turn on the heater.
Otherwise, it is a decent place to have brunch if you are around Bruce/Belconnen. Would come back here to give the desserts a go as they look really yum!
This place has the most friendly and efficient staff that I've ever encountered.
The service is prompt, our food came out in next to no time at all.

One of my 2016 goals is to work my way through the cake menu at Ricardo’s – I feel like I started this quest with a bang! I am a huge fan of Snickers bars, and the Ricardo’s interpretation on this classic chocolate bar is utterly divine. Firstly, the size of this cake is just right (I’d say it’s even slightly bigger than your average icecream) for an afternoon tea snack, but be prepared for rich decandence! The peanuts scattered over the outer shell are dusted in edible gold sparkly dust (yep, that’s the technical term), making it not only tasty (peanuts) but also very pretty (sparkly!). Had lunch for birthday boy yesterday. No booking necessary, menu pleased all.
Service is good, half hour wait for food reasonable given the crowd.
Lunch fare was average. Dry duck and chicken. One half wrap had lost its filling before getting to us.
But then came dessert and coffee. Alien - amaze balls, snickers and wagon wheel will never be the same. And the Cookie Monster just divine. Definitely the place for that special cake or treat.
I have been going to Ricardo's for years! It's a super busy cafe that serves amazing looking and delicious cakes, yummy food, good coffee and consistent service. They recently opened another cafe in Woden called Space. A good cafe in the suburbs and somewhere you can also go for high tea. I've taken visitors here from interstate and we usually get smaller cakes from Ricardo's to celebrate birthdays! It's a great way to taste a bit of everything. I've also ordered larger cakes for special occasions! Ricardo's is like Canberra's Zumbo. If you want a cronut or a macaron in Canberra you'll find them here! The cake cabinet is insane!
I haven't been to Ricardo's Cafe in awhile since they changed their menu, most foods on the menu are no longer as good as before, however, their desserts have stayed the same and would recommend this place just for desserts and coffee

I've visited this cafe for their lunch menu before, trying a wagyu beef burger and fish and chips, both were delicious and worth their value, however it is their display cabinet filled with sweet treats and cronuts that makes you want to come back.
On multiple occasions I have visited to try their new flavours of cronuts. Nutella is always there, and never disappoints, but new flavours are introduced now and then such as cereal milk, snickers, pineapple with lime curd, and my favourite - peanut butter. Each cronut comes with a syringe allowing you to have ooey gooey filling in every mouthful, and for $5.90 I believe it is well worth it.
The desserts cabinet is always brightly lit with wonderful and colourful desserts all $9.90, my favourite (besides the cronuts) being the 'cookie monster' or the 'golden gay times' - hazelnut mouse shaped as the ice cream, dipped in chocolate and coated with hazelnuts.

After seeing the cake display cabinet at sister venture Space Kitchen, I knew I had to stop in at Ricardo’s Cafe to try something from their extensive selection. Friends had raved about the cannoli there, but I was sucked in by the incredibly beautiful (and large) cakes in the display cabinet, and after much deliberation (the Cookie Monster? Snickers Gaytime?), I ordered the Raspberry Dome ($9.90) to dine in. The serving is massive – I would recommend sharing, otherwise the staff are happy to provide takeaway containers, so none of the deliciousness goes to waste. This cake is at its best when
Always delicious. The smoked salmon breakfast and pulled pork salad are fantastic. Service is great and you never have to wait long, even though they're always busy.
The cakes look sensational, service was prompt and breakfast excellent. Highly recommend this place if you enjoy food with a variety of choice.
Great cronuts; good breakfast/brunch options; cakes can sometimes be hit and miss but on the whole they're quite good; high tea is also good value for money. Definitely my go to place for brunch and coffee/cake.

Who would have thought there would be a little bit of Paris at the Jammo?. Finally an interesting, French style patisserie that isn't all the way out in Fyshwick. Lovely pastries, perfect macarons, unique and ever-changing treats in a display cabinet that would fit in anywhere in Paris plus good service. Can you tell I love this place?
Always perfect. Starting going to Riccardo's about 6 months ago. It's hand down the best cafe I have ever eaten in.
The food is always perfectly done, very fresh and yummy. They are always busy but the excellent staff find us a table in seconds every week.
Give it a try if you haven't.

Amazing 10/10. Iv heard so much about this place from the food to the cakes and coffee.
But I had to see it for myself to believe it and as soon as I walked in there's this amazing display of desserts like no other not only in Canberra but anywhere iv ever been and we were told everything is made by hand in store by a team of pastry chefs.
First we started with lunch and had the Calamari and my friend had the cheese burger both dishes were very well presented and tasted great then we had to have dessert so I had the caramel mousse which was amazing and my friend had the apple cheese cake with looked like an apple and even had little apple pearls inside. We also shared a few macarons which were all fantastic and all made on the premises.
There is seriously nothing like this and the whole time we were there the line was out the door so for the volume they are doing they could teach a lot of other cafes out there a thing or two.
I don't usually write reviews but I think people we are all too quick to judge and be negative but don't praise enough when something is great and unique like Ricardo's cafe.

Amazing!. We visited Ricardo's recently for morning coffee. It was so popular the queue was out the door. Wonderful selection of well presented food. We had the mango cheesecake and it was delicious. The coffee was exceptionally good! Peter and Christine
A North Side Charmer.. Open early from 7.30am for all day breakfast, lunch and amazing sweets, this place is a north side haven. A large range of menu options that will please your tummy and your wallet. Coffee is usually pretty good and other drinks (smoothies and juices) are great as well. Staff are always charming and are more than happy to discuss any dietary requirements and talk with the kitchen about any issues. Food and drinks come out fast and at good standards every time. Pick up an amazing sweet treat from the cabinet on your way out, you won't regret it!

Delicious and pricey. The food here is fabulous but can be very pricey. The hot chocolates and coffees are top-notch but be warned - a regular hot choc (if you don't order the mug size) has now been downgraded to a very small glass. I was shocked when it arrived at my table yesterday, after not having been in for a couple of months - it contained less than 200mls. So for $4, not great value, but I wasn't ordering a second!
The macarons are pretty good, but the best I've tasted in Canberra are from Dream Cuisine at Fyshwick.
The food is wonderful - try the Eggs Benedict or the Roast Chicken sandwich. But be warned, this cafe is packed to the brim even on weekdays, and on weekends it's almost impossible to get a table unless you arrive outside of peak times!!! The waitstaff are pretty disorganised and there's no system to ask them to help you find a table or to ask them how long they think one will be. The tables are all pushed very close together and there's no possibility of getting a pram into the middle of the cafe, so if you have a wheelchair or pram, you need a table on the edges near the door, or outside (freezing in winter).
First time had lunch here on recommendation from a friend. Glad we went was brilliant. Food was amazingly good.
Awesome cakes at good prices. I am amazed at the detail that goes into some of them such as the cheesecakes. Love this place! They do a decent breakfast too.

...The Croque madame was really warm and comforting on such a rainy morning – carby with meat and cheese, what more do you want really! The bread is crunchy and the ham and cheese are salty and delicious. The egg was cooked beautifully too:
Ricardo's has introduced self-injecting donuts to the menu. I pick up one of the syringes and slowly squeeze down the trigger to inject the warm jam filling into the side of the donut. Yum.
Introducing the cronut. What is a cronut? Described as a half croissant half donut filled with cream and glazed. Invented by Chef Dominique Ansel at his New York bakery and launched in May this year. The cronut craze has taken the world by storm!
I really like this place - they do amazing little cakes for around $6-$9 each which isn't that pricey. They also change up the cakes each week and introduce new cakes. Their Facebook page provides updates of new cakes and limited edition items. Warning: It also has lots of photos of cakes and the other food on their menu.
I have been to Ricardo's once before and I was well aware that there will be a beautiful and distracting cake and pastry cabinet that will greet me on arrival. I was however focused on one thing and one thing only; and hallelujah I spotted the cronuts and breathed a massive sigh of relief.
I have to admit that although they looked pretty darn enticing sitting there in the cabinet in all their sugar coated goodness, I was also slightly disappointed that these didn't look anything like THE cronut in terms of their height. These were rather flat and if you didn't know any better you might dismiss these for being just ordinary donuts as they were nothing like the literal high and mighty look of the original cronut in the above photos. But I didn't drive to the other side of the city to judge a book buy it's cover so I ordered myself a takeaway cronut ($3.90) anyway.
Delicious Eggs Benedict and long black. Reasonably priced and staff were very friendly. Will definitely be back to try out their awesome looking range of cakes.

Super busy on a weekday morning, but still received fast service. Definitely worth it :) Food servings were a great size and there was a lot of variety. Everything looked beautiful and was delicious! Outdoor seating was great as the heaters were working well. Will definitely come again!

The food was absolutely divine. The portions were not too large. The menu ensures that they is something for everyone. I had the potato and chorizo skillet and it was just perfect.

Delicious food, amazing cakes (like, unbelievably artistic looking cakes that you don't even want to eat because you'll ruin how good they look!), very clean and very nice atmosphere you'll forget you're in Jamison! Friendly staff too and very well priced. Highly recommend for an every day coffee place or somewhere to go for an occasion.

Delicious food as always, and service with a genuine smile. We ordered the Eggs Benedict with salmon and the Lemon Meringue Hotcakes which were both tasty and filling. Would be nice to have a few more DF options on the regular menu in future. Desserts are ALWAYS incredible, so do try those.
