Food at Sage is great! Fresh, delicious and creative. They have excellent vegetarian alternatives too. The cocktails - especially the passionfruit mojito - were super tasty. We were outside on a cold rainy day and they had a pile of fluffy blankets for us.

We were lucky to get a reservation on the first night lockdown was lifted. A special degustation collab between Peter Harrington + Michael Harrington & James Viles celebrating regional flavours. Loved every morsel. We went with the wine pairing which only added to the experience. With cocktails it came to $249 a head but we figured we'd saved so much money on restaurants during lockdown we were simply making up for lost time. Prompt and friendly service, great atmosphere, great location within the Gorman Arts Centre, and a lovely old building.
I had my birthday dinner here with the degustation menu. As a gluten free vegan, I often struggle to get dietary catering most places, and often the food substitutes are dismal. But Sage was incredible! Every single dish was outstanding, full of flavour and elegantly displayed. Plus, every single one of the staff were phenomenal - so friendly, professional, and kind. Well done to everyone at Sage! You are doing incredible work!

The only detractor being the heater not working 100% on the night I was there, and the warmer inside was already in use for a function.
Sage has incredible native Australian influenced food and the most welcoming atmosphere! We were fortunate to be served by Nino who made our lunch date so special. He was attentive and made the ambience at Sage friendly and warm.
The food, wine and cocktails were all sensational and we will 100% be back. Could not recommend this place enough if you are looking for places to dine in Canberra.
