Nice little place. Fresh juice bar is very nice. Everything is a bit pricey and doesn't match the serving sizes or quality of the food.
The food was okay, not much variety but pretty regular cafe and breakfast food options. The food was not great but not bad either. Very simple and nothing overly impressive.
There are very few vegan options but there is something to choose from.
The service is great and very nice.
The coffees were pretty decent.
The atmosphere inside is warm and inviting but a bit cramped, small tables and not the most comfortable seating.
Overall a cute little cafe with fresh juice, more on the pricey side but decent enough.

A bit pushy to get us in the door, but they are one of three coffee shops back to back, and they are way at the back, Once we were in and seated I found the staff helpful and courteous. The big breakfast was huge and some tasty twists over a standard big breakfast, such as the mushrooms were fried/steamed with rocket leaves and it also came with ample portions of chorizo, over and on top of the breakfast sausages. In fact my wife's salmon and smashed avo was really too generous for a breakfast meal.

The staff at Cafe Garema are really sweet and helpful, kind and patient plus the coffee is always good if not excellent!
I had a little wait before my friend arrived and kept myself amused in the comforting atmosphere amidst other happy patrons.

The Canadian French toast pancakes is a great dish. With the banana and berries it's easy to convince yourself that it is a healthy option. Certainly fills you up for the day. Friendly and speedy staff.

Passable coffee and decent service, however ingredients were neither fresh or of cafe quality. Wraps were stale, salad had obviously come out of a bagged mix, and "french toast" was white bread served with half a strawberry

Terrible gluten free. I asked the waitress whether their gluten free options are appropriate for coeliacs. 'Yes' she said. I asked whether they were cooked on the same grill or in the same fryer as gluten-containing products. 'No' she said. I got the sickest I have been in a very long time.

Great little place for a yummy breakfast. Quaint little cafe with big open windows for people watching. Smoothie was yummy and no problems to tweak it a little from the menu. Thanks guys I really enjoyed and will come again when in CBR. Lisa.

Had a nice Sunday brunch. Food came out super fast and service was super attentive. It was a really quiet day and at one point I was the only diner in the cafe at 11am. My mocha ordered was on point. Note that they have Sunday prices for all their food and it is far more $ compared to every other day of the week.

Was here for a late breakfast/brunch just before Christmas. Very disappointed in the standard of fare. My Nachos were microwaved(the cheese was harder than the "doritos" by the time the dish came out.) Coffee was okay, and the big breakfast we ordered was okay.

Service really fast and efficient but highly disappointing so after coming here for my daily coffee everyday for a couple of months I started to go elsewhere. In the city, you really need to get your game on with so many competitions just a stone throw away.

Recommendation: give it a miss! Pretty poor service. Not the greatest coffee. Unsure why there wasn't any table service just because it's a public holiday. Ridiculous! The table wasn't level and the waitress refused to fix it. She also only brought five water glasses for six people.

This was one of the first places we stopped at in a recent visit to our capital city over the busy Xmas period. We were in dire need of coffee & breakfast after a long hike around Lake Burley Griffin. This busy cafe seemed to fit our requirements. They did a good flat white & a decent house beans. Even my scrambled eggs were good served with an ultra sweet tomato. Service was fast considering they were pretty flat out due to not much else being open.

Great for my daily coffee!. I just go to Garema for my daily coffee before work. I find the coffee to be to my liking, the staff very professional and the service incredibly fast. I stumbled across it on the "free coffee day" in November 2014. Until I saw these reviews I actually thought that was the day it opened, but looks like it has been around for a while. They have coffee cards so you can get ten medium (quite a good size) coffees for only $30<br/>I haven't tried the food.

Let me first say that I fully understand the pressures of working in hospitality, and I appreciate the stress of being the only cafe open within a ten km radius on a day like New Years- however, <br/>Upon taking our table, which was still dirty from the last party, my friend walked up to get menus when one of the wait staff rudely took a menu out of her hands and said "it's table service- we'll get to you when we can. Go and sit down". <br/>It took her 35 minutes to bring us the menus, a further 30 to take our orders, 20 minutes to bring us our coffees and an hour- no less- to bring out our meals. In that time we asked someone to wipe our table to which the waitress replied "yep, I'll get to it", and never did. When the food arrived mine was cold, the pancakes soggy and the poached egg severely over cooked- my friends hollandaise sauce had a film and they didn't put salmon on the plate- even though the menu clearly states that the meal comes with it. <br/><br/>All in all I'd say it would have been an ok experience had I not spent my entire afternoon there.

Nice service, ok food.. My duck risotto was bland suggesting they don't use a good flavoursome stock. Hubby's salt and pepper calamari was over battered rather than lightly dusted. It did the job, but not a place we'd rush back to.

It was terrible, they brought out my food and it was the wrong order, they then brought out my right order but at the end of the meal made me pay for both orders, the boss is a douche

Went there for lunch with my partner on the Monday public holiday, the cafe wasn't actually busy so we decided to give it a go. After sitting down we were offered a second menu after a few minutes, once we were ready to order we closed our menus and waited, about 5-10 minutes passed and we were still waiting. Another couple arrived 5 minutes after us and received a bottle of water (we weren't even offered this yet) and they had there drinks order taken. Once there coffees were ready they received them promptly, whilst we were still waiting for someone to serve us, at this stage we didn't care if it was just drinks. The amount of time the waiter spent with this couple you would have thought they must be some kind of royalty to cafe garema. After just sitting there like fools we decided to just walk, we made a point of walking past the waiter and he knew it, so he avoided all eye contact. Probably for the best we spent our money else where.

Nice food and responsive service. Always have a great experience here especially for breakfast. Consistently open early with a large menu. They are also flexible to suit my taste. Recommend highly.

Brunch with rocks. The food I ordered came with stones. Seriously, little bits of rocks. Previously I had always really enjoyed the food and coffee, but I will not be returning. I am lucky I didn't break a tooth.

Highly recommend!. I've recently discovered Gafe Garema and now love popping in and grabbing my coffee each morning. The staff are really friendly with each other and customers which creates a lovely atmosphere. In my experience, the coffee is the best within the Garema Place/Canberra Centre precinct. I haven't tried any food other than their muffins which come in all sorts of crazy flavours (I tried the "Creaming Soda" muffin this morning and it was great!). I highly recommend this cafe.

Outstanding Dinner. Dinner wss superb. Food beats everywhere in Sydney. My husband had the Spicey chirozo risotto, I had the chicken mushroom and chargrilled vege risotto. My daughter haf spag bol. Wish I had the recipes so I could create them at home. Will be visiting again when we returm one dsy.

It was appalling. There were 5 of us all ordering breakfast. The first meal came out then we waited 29 mins for two more meals, another 10 minutes for the fourth and a further 10 minutes for the fifthe. It wad not busy with meals. We were offered no apology and no reason. It ruined Mothers Day.

Nice Cafe with all day breakfast just across the road from the Canberra Center. Friendly staff and pleasant ambience. Food was OK and pricing was in line with all other cafes.

... a list of places that serve green tea lattes and what I thought of them...it was a pretty good drink. It had a much more subtle matcha flavour to it. Here the milkiness and creaminess of the latte came first then the matcha came out as an after taste. I would say it probably still has enough of a matcha taste to satisfy any green tea lover though.
