Excellent choice to have Korean food for dinner this evening. My kids enjoyed the pork schnitzel and chicken. I had Bibimbab with pork. The food was incredibly amazing. I am very tempted to come every day.

Tried various Korean dishes here. The seafood Korean pancake was really big, about a size of small pizza and quite thick too. Assorted steamed dumplings were average but tteubokkis were nice! Half a chicken of soy chickens were also pretty nice, it came with few pieces of white rice cakes :) really nice side dishes on offer too so worth coming here if you want to have some Korean food I reckon!

The dolsot bibimbap was really good, I only wished that they would have given miso soup on the side.

My friends also enjoyed their tteokbokki

Ditched B for this one, and tried my first Korean in Canberra. We had the Kimchi omelette, pork with kimchi, pork dumplings, prawn dumplings (both steamed), and I tried some hot ginger tea - which was AMAZING. The prawn dumplings were probably the highlight of our experience, but there was nothing on the menu I could fault. The kimchi omelette is massive too! Definitely recommended.

I've had a ridiculous craving for fried chicken lately so on Friday night one of my foodie friends and I decided to do a little food crawl in Dickson. Breaking my Korean fried chicken virginity, we headed to Hangari Kimchi in Dickson. It was about 6:30pm on a Friday night and we didn't have a booking. We were seated quickly and given the menu. There were a few things on the menu that I wanted to try but we were there for the fried chicken so we ordered the Incredible Gangjung chicken and a few beers to wash it down. The restaurant itself is quite small and the tables are very close together. There were quite a few people in for the Korean BBQ. The meal came out quickly and was served with a little bowl of picked vegetables. The sauce was sweet and sticky, perhaps a little to sweet for my liking. The pickled vegetable were a perfect side dish and cut through the sweetness of the sweet sauce. The chicken was crispy on the outside and moist and succulent in the centre. A half serve of chicken was $18, a little pricey in my opinion but Canberra prices tend to be a higher. I'll definitely be back to try some of the other fried chicken on offer. I also want to try the Korean Pancake and the Japchae. A good restaurant to sample some Korean cuisine in a cosy, casual atmosphere. Perfect for a catch up with friends or a casual celebration. I'm no expert in Korean cuisine but the food was tasty.

The food was ok, but i was disappointed to not be allowed to cook my own BBQ, I asked politely twice. Also, this review shouldn't need to be 140 characters.

The snow cheese chicken and the ganjung chicken were really good. One of its kind. However, the other dishes were pretty average and lacking flavor.

Overpriced but decent Korean. Food is decent but certainly not worth $30 that we paid (2 of us) for lunch. Flavours were distinctive Korean and the food was well cooked, presented, hot and prompt.

However yet again today I found myself eating something that I have madr a few days ago, namely the "kimchi's own spicy pork dish" - just a bit of Gochujang paste, garlic, onions, carrots etc... and mix into a stew.

I like it but I won't be going again.

First time Korean BBQ with our two young kids, they enjoyed the experience. Love it that they cooked for us, it's hard otherwise to eat together with 2 young kiddies. Super recommend the steam egg, best I have had and yummy side dishes, get refills of your favourite ;) Great experience!

I’m a Korean, and it was my first time to eat Korean chicken after arriving in Australia. To be honest, before eating the chicken, I was doubtful about the taste of chicken as it will be a bit different from the real Korean chicken taste. However, it had 100% the same taste compared to real Korean chicken. It was really delicious. I strongly recommend you guys to try eating Korean chicken. With a wonderful memory, next time, I will have some other foods.

Food was good! But you will need to wait abit of time. Reception staff was rude and not helpful when asked when the last dish going to come (becoz others guess already finished their meal but mine still not show) Good flavor, if the staff can give it a good training would be great! And also please turn on the Airconditioners in the room !!!!!! Is very frowsty in that private room.

When I discovered the Van Gogh Alive taking placing in Canberra, thought how awesome it would be to spend a weekend with my dear friends after forever long lockdowns. I do not come down to Canberra very often as Sydney has everything you could look for. Especially finding good Korean restaurant is not very easy these days and I only saw the sign of Kimchi which I thought interesting, when I got closer, I saw the full name 항아리김치, how cute is this?? When I saw the name of the restaurant, I was able to picture that grey hair of master chef getting some of homemade chili paste out of big ceramic pot in their own backyard somewhere country side in Korea. Well, the owner of the restaurant seems to be quite young and I am quite mesmerised how she is able to maintain the restaurant so tidy and manage numerous customers with big smiles. Once seated, fairly quick delivery of foods, lovely gourmet meats(wow.. so yummy) and happy faces shown at the table next to me. These show why they are super popular and people queued up to be served. Location wise, quality of food wise and price wise, this restaurant hits the top of the list. I am so satisfied with this beautiful dinner unexpectedly that made me forget any of Korean restaurants instantly in Sydney. Petite size of display of Korean musical instruments was bonus. Very proud to see they are doing so well with dignity and pride and I suppose this is how Korean restaurant should be. I don't know when I return back to Canberra in the near future but I will come back to try other food for sure. Well done guys.

Korean BBQ done right. Great BBQ and very good hotpot. Have the wagyu if your budget extends that far, totally worth it. Looking forward to the next visit.
