Local Regular. Definately satisfying (if not always mind blowing) food. I have headed down the road to King Fook on many occasions. This in itself should say something about the food. I order their vegetarian dumplings quite frequently. These are juicy and full of flavour. I also order their hand made noodles which are pretty good, and their fried bean curd with spicy peppery salt, which is crispy and tasty. Another dish I went mad over was their fish in wine sauce. Really nice. My partner orders the meat dishes and enjoys her meals every time. We have also both eaten their simple, clean vegetarian fried rice more times than we can remember. This is a humble, simple, no fuss Chinese joint that delivers. Some dishes are not as flash as some might want, but if you go in knowing what to expect, and are happy with that, you will be able to find some gems in the menu that do the trick. I’ve found the service here to be really good. There is one girl who can get a bit grumpy, but that isn’t anything to lose your temper over. She probably spends 7 days a week there, and forgets people are experiencing her for the first time. The chap there is superb
Well worth a visit, at least for the Peking Duck!. Wouldn't go so far as to say that it was the best Peking Duck I have ever had . Not even the best in Canberra, but it certainly was enjoyable and good value. The handmade noodles were good as well.
Tried a few more dishes and had our interest piqued by others on the menu. Shall come back for those.
The scallops and prawns were fine, but the salt and pepper tofu had an unnecessary thick batter that simply retained the taste of the cooking oil and could easily have been much better.
All in all I'd go back and it was a good night.
Best EVER.. Great food consistently - always at every visit.... Super friendly & warm staff and very easy on the pocket- not expensive at all- real value for money... Everytime
