This is my family’s go-to restaurant when we can’t figure out where to eat 🤣 We always come to Thanh Mai for the Ca Kho To (caramelised fish) & Canh Chua (Vietnamese sweet and sour soup) 🥰 It usually comes with 1 silver perch which is shared amongst both dishes but we always get 1 fish per dish 🐟🤗 They make the Ca Kho so well here, and look how aesthetically pleasing that looks 😂🙌 The soup is also so yummy, perfect for this weather 🌧 Soup is filled with greens and bean sprouts which soak up all that delicious broth 🤩 Pairing these two dishes with white jasmine rice makes it the perfect comfort food. These dishes are definitely a part of my list of favourite things to eat ❤️

Went here for a late night dinner with a group of friends.
Opt for the caramelised fish in a clay pot or the sweet and sour fish soup, my favourites for this place.

Thanh Mai is one of the original restaurants in Canley Heights. Not the cleanest place in the front so i can only imagine what the kitchen looks like. Eep! :/ Food is good for the price. I always get the special vermicelli dish.
