Authentic and simple yet delicious veg food. Will definitely go again. But should try and avoid peak lunch times as it gets busy. We go there most weekends. So far the best south Indian vegetarian food in Perth.
Hands down the most authentic South Indian food in Perth. Great food and very reasonable prices.
Went there after son's soccer game with one of the other dads who introduced my family to this place. I think this is a hidden gem. Great value food. Kids loved the paratha's and the poori. I had poori and masala thosai and it was very tasty. Definitely brings me back to childhood memories of eating gloriously tasty indian vegetarian fare in Malaysia.
Will go back and try the uppuma next time with some coffee.
Seriously legitimate South Indian food. An absolute hidden gem. Everything fresh and authentic. It might not look like it from the outside, but this place serves the best Indian food in Perth. The staff are very friendly. The dosa took me back to the hills of Kerala.
The food is very good value also, although I only make that comment in case someone wanted to know. I would happily pay more.
Very very good food. Very authentic South Indian food and really reasonable prices.
Really a gem in Perth. I go back there every time.
The thali meals are delicious every thing to die for.
So yummy so good.
The place is like entering a UDUPI restaurant. The food is very authentic . We ordered vada sambar. Best sambar in perth so far. Dosa was crispy and masala in it was tasty and good portion size. Both the chutneys tasted delicious . Kokum sherbat was excellent. Prices are very low. We also got some banana chips. They were yumm. The only reason I am deducting a star is because the place does need a clean. Go to this place for authentic South Indian food. Karnataka style.
I love coming here regularly. Both the food and ambience is authentic and homely - just like you would find in India. Food is home cooked, fresh and high quality. Perfect every time. Fast service and very reasonable prices. Thank you for creating such good tasting food and quality experience.
Read alot of the other reviews on the restaurant and was wondering if that's how it really was. If you're a South Indian, just entering the restaurant would give you a good whiff of sambhar which means you'll feel like you've very much been transported back home. *Nostalgia*
We ordered plain Dosa, masala Dosa, vada, parotta, paneer butter masala and kesari- all the South Indian food was great - authentic feels. The paneer butter masala was absolutely terrible I'm sorry to say. The sambhar was good, chutneys were decent. Dosas were super crispy, parottas were ah-mazing and you get served fresh hot food.
Regarding the old aunty at the reception counter- give her a break, she's just being herself. Honestly she's quite sweet if you strike up a conversation with her. It's a restaurant run by just 3 people who cook, clean, pack takeaways and manage customers, so I guess we should cut them some slack.
Hygiene levels seem quite questionable though. Well, if you're used to having eaten streetside food in India, this would be of no concern 🤣
Food is super economical - you just have to be patient till you're able to get your order in and wait for it to come to you.
PS: we went on a Thursday night and the place was absolutely FLOODED.
Went back on a Tuesday expecting it to be empty but was mistaken as every table was taken. Great food as always.
A hidden gem... Authentic south Indian food with a very family feel to it. It's a converted home that smells like home cooked food. Popular with south Indians and is usually packed on the weekend. Simple place, no frills but Ur there for the food. They were very accommodating with out pram even though there wasn't much space for it. Would recommend it vadas, idli and dosas.
Good south Indian food at a great price. I particularly like the uthappam and idly. Seating area is limited. Service is quite quick. They provide meals thats more than enough to fill your tummy and evokes bit of nostalgia if your are from the south of india
Great Value South Indian Food. Staff are friendly and courteous. Recommend takeaway rather than dine in.
I honestly think this is one the best places in Perth to have food. It is run by a family and they are very warm and welcoming. I feel the food prices are lowest too by any standards compared to other place, with no compromise on quality. Keep up the good work!
Their food and ambience feels road side authentic of non metro India. Expect a unique taste with no added fuss. Not 10/10 for hygiene or presentation just like an average food outlet but enjoy their homelike flavours that's easy on stomach. Busy more often than not but that doesn't stop their to the point flash service speed. With very reasonable price and very casual setup, one must try the street style udipi and make your own views. 4 stars primarily to suggest that there are very small fixes that can be implemented to improve the place overall. Like the outdoor seating, while exists, but feels neglected, front counter has display cabins that are mostly empty, etc
