Never will we have thought that a local Japanese restaurant serving decent sushi would arise in the western suburbs! Located next to some of our favourite restaurants, we finally had the chance to try out Izumi.
Pricing for the sushi in our opinion is fair and if even, absolutely worth it despite others comments. Regardless let us uncover each dish. The spicy tuna was our disappointment of the night. Don't get us wrong it was good, just not great. No real saucy flavour and way too much rice (sticky variant) compared to tuna ratio- the rice overbearing the flavour overall. The other Sushis though were very good. The salmon rolls were fresh and decent, almost comparable to your typical hand rolls, however the soft shell crab and aburi salmon shun. The soft shell crab was our favourite and we would recommend getting two of these over the spicy tuna. Fresh, crispy, succulent and very flavoursome with the sauces and seaweed used. An absolute must. The aburi was thick, using the belly of salmon and was melt in your mouth good.
As for the Japanese tea, this was great to help ease it all down as we finished with a delightful mochi icecream- that was most likely unwrapped from the freezer, but still good! Recommend this place for the soft shell crab and aburi salmon.

Me and my boyfriend was there for lunch last week. The restaurant decorations was nice. It gives you a feeling of Japanese . The food was great everything so fresh except the oysters.
Came here with friends for a night out, pick a lot of food, plus had vodkas, and it cost us $25 each. Bargain. And the food was absolutely delicious, we will be back, this time making room for dessert.
Absolutely adore Izumi! Wonderful food and the restaurant is always clean and relaxed. Ingredients are fresh and the Japanese mayo is to die for, I simply cannot get enough.
Loved it. Fresh food, great service. We always order about 7 to 8 entrees for 2 people plus 2 beers and pay around $80. Great value for money and satisfying. Sushi and sashimi is melting in your mouth.

Always happy with the food and the service!!! Fresh seafood and awesome sushi. I love the tempura prawn roll and the tempura mixed veggies. The tempura batter is amazing crunchy!!!
Am a regular customer at Izumi. I absolutely love Japanese food, and Izumi has one of best sashimi and sushi I have tasted. We have ordered the Sukiyaki in the past which is also delicious, perfect for couples or families. Featured is one of their Sashimi Platters on offer plus their Seafood Tempura Udon. Yummm... that is all 🙏
Loved it. Really good fresh sushi and sashimi followed by Japanese style sweet and sour pork, teriyaki beef and rice. Service was a little slow to begin with but they were busy and expected. As soon as they were free they took our order and food cake out pretty quick. Deserts were loved by the kids and adults-try the trio moose. Probably not authentic Japanese but yummy.
Cold beer in chilled glasses. Rice comes with all meals which is a bonus compared to most restaurants. No complaints. Will be back.
I've been here a few times and have always loved the food. I think this is the best Japanese resto in the area according to my taste. On the menu, Izumi Gyu steak was good, but I think its over priced. The place has some nice furnishings inside and no issues with service. Expect to pay a bit more when you dine here.
Great food and great service. Very good ambiance and a really good feel for authentic Japanese cuisine. Try the tap beer and as many yakitori as you can eat.

Really delicious Japanese food and very authentic in my opinion. The octopus was a little chewy for me but that's often how it's served in Japan! Will definitely be back to try more.
Nice place to go have some food while catching up with a group of friends, I had the chicken katsu and did enjoy it however I do think the chicken was a little on the tough side. Will need to go back and try this again as it could of been the cut I received.
Izumi is the best local Japanese Restaurant in Caroline Springs. My children love Izumi bento box and Salmon Roll! We have them every week. highly recommend!

I looked within a 15 km radius for a great dining experience and I found it! This place ticked all the right boxes. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, very clean and well run. Food was great perfectly cooked spicy peppered steak sliced thin with asparagus and sticky rice. A nice decent size meal quite filling and couldn't fault it. Its well worth going here I'm coming back again soon theres a few things on the menu I'm very keen to try!
