A small neighbourhood restaurant specialising in bao and other Japanese small plates, perfect for sharing. There is also an extensive wine list. Itâs a bit pricey, but food quality and flavours make up for it. Portion size is average.
Seating is available inside and outside, may get cold in winter and hot in summer as itâs quite open.
Absolutely incredible food... our table ordered almost the entire menu it was so fresh and on point with flavor. The service was 5 star the owner and his wife went out of their way to that ensure we had a great experience, you can tell they really have a passion for what they do. Cant wait to go back and enjoy more of their delicious dishes. Thank you for an amazing night !
Food is to die for! Yes I agree with the portion size, but every bite is mouth watering. I have ordered a few times here and everyone I take is very impressed. My new go to.
Absolutely delicious. Our friends recommended this restaurant as we would never have found it. Tiny little place in a row of shops, with limited seating inside and out, so need to book. Highly recommend the 5 course meal, great value $55 per person that includes - gyoza, duck beast, prawns, kingfish carpaccio and bao, either pork or eggplant. Food is fresh and extremely tasty, and great wine list. Portions are small, but itâs quality over quantity. Staff are great too. Canât wait to return.
Delicious drinks and amazing Japanese cuisine. We enjoyed the tempura bug and waygu beef baos, they're single serves but quite large and could easily be split. Well worth the $$. Katsu chicken curry and sansho pork bowl for mains. Both were amazing. Everything was packed with flavour and super fresh. We also enjoyed the house sake and umeshu sodas. Highly recommended, would go back in a heart beat.
Kemuri is the perfect example of a 5 star local restaurant serving modern Japanese cuisine. Hero & Yuki are welcoming and make every patron feel like a guest in their home. Hero has the most diverse wine selection from small wineries from around the globe. Yuki is in charge of the kitchen & makes her own Bao buns & dumplings. The Bug Bao is not to be missed. Tried once, youâll soon find youâre there once a week fighting us for the best outside table!

Great food, all handmade in the restaurant, no frozen stuff, all fresh. Make sure to book a table because it only can accomodate a small number of guests. But if you canât book, no problem. They also have take away.
