We had a wonderful dinner for our anniversary at Cento 22! The food was really good. We ordered the zucchini flowers, a risotto porcini and a seafood spaghetti! Finally for dessert panna cotta. All very good. The service was also great! We can for sure recommend Cento 22! Excellent!
Our second time to Cento 22 and it certainly won't be our last. From the moment you walk through the doors, you get a sense that these are people that are passionate about food. What I love the most about this place is the personal and friendly service. The owners Chris and Libby, make you feel as though you’ve just come home for dinner. They have a commitment to sharing their love for italian food in an authentic and unpretentious way. Tonight we experienced the Willoughby Living special, which was a delicious antipasto board - the roasted eggplant, Italian meats and focaccia were mouth watering. Our main was a fabulous plate of simple, flavoursome pasta, I had the pappardelle bolognese and Alanah Fox had the Casarecce-Sicilian Pasta, both were absolutely delicious. Accompanied by a delightfully full bodied 2013 chianti, its safe to say our meal was simply spectacular. Our only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer, having to rush home to relieve our (wonderful) babysitters. With a focus on fresh, seasonal produce, a great matching wine selection and friendly, personal service, Cento 22 is definitely worth a visit. If you love food, if you love real, simple, delicious Italian food, if you appreciate good wholesome service, then do yourself a favour, and book a table at Cento 22, I guarantee you will not be disappointed.
With up market prices, you expect up market meals and Cento 22 delivered. Nice ambiance, reasonable wines, all Mains were full of flavour and well enjoyed by our party of 6. The portions were reasonable for rich food for adults but not big quite enough for an older teen-ager. They took a special request of a tiramisu cake for a birthday for the desserts. We all agreed one of the best tiramisu ever. Owners and staff were very accommodating and pleasant. We will definately be back.

I used to come here when it was "Casa Mia Casa Tua". The chef is a great guy and very talented with food. The new owners are nice people too, let's hope that they keep this place running for a good while.
The food is excellent, same high quality standard as before (same chef). Salads are deliciously fresh, pastas are great. Haven't tried the mains, so I can't tell you about that.
My only real gripe with this restaurant is the excessively high corkage pricing. $8 per person is ridiculous, it actually defeats the purpose of bringing your own wine. We dined here on a Thursday night and ended up paying $32 extra for corkage for a couple of bottles of wine we brought. I understand this is a business and you need to make money and you clean the glasses afterwards, but you should definitely consider bringing down your corkage pricing (it's the highest I've ever seen in a restaurant).
For a casual weekday dinner, $8 PP corkage is not justifiable for us.
We probably won't be coming back, and it is because of that fact alone.
Great local restaurant. Food is delicious. Pasta is hand made and very authentic. Service by Libby and Chris is always fantastic. And best of all we can take our dog!
We were invited to a special birthday celebration at Centro 22 and were so impressed with every aspect of the restaurant. The staff were warm and attentive, the food absolutely delicious and of a very high quality, and the ambiance perfect for a sophisticated, yet relaxed party.
We travelled from Manly as we had heard good things about this restaurant under its new owners and acclaimed British Chef Alastair Little. We were not disappointed well worth the trip whereever in Sydney you are travelling from and if you live around the corner ..... lucky you.
