Food tastes amazing. Mild, not too overwhelming. Some restaurants are way too strong and salty.
Service also excellent, felt warm and welcomed.

Interior is super clean, like a newly-opened restaurant, was surprised it has been 3years already.
Will come back again and again for sure.

We visited Danji for lunch and got their $13 lunch specials. The kimchi stew came piping hot to the table, still sizzling and bubbling, and packed with flavour. They were very generous with the meat and salmon, and the salad was also very refreshing. We also had the pork bibimbap which was quite delicious, although Iā€™d recommend you ask for gochujang as it can be quite bland with just the soy sauce. Overall, Iā€™d definitely recommend their lunch over dinner as itā€™s much more worth the money!

Ordered the meat platter banquet which was amazing. The portion sizes are very generous and it is obvious all the ingredients and meats are incredibly fresh. Overall the service and value is unparalleled. Would definitely return.

The food was excellent however sweet for our palate. The host said we should have orderd Whole Chicken - Original as its more spicier than Original Whole Chicken- With Spicy Sauce.

Service was good, even though they were busy with takeaway orders, staff was very polite. Chapchae is the best in Melbourne. Spicy pork is nice as well. Bibimbap may still need a bit of improvement, but itā€™s not bad actually.

Another tucked away place located under a block of apartments which we wouldnā€™t have stumbled upon had we not been curious enough to check out the new Asian supermarket within the same building.

In an area with quite a handful of restaurants, thereā€™s no doubt about some stiff competition given that this isnā€™t the only Korean place around and the others definitely have more advantage of being on the ever busy Warrigal Road.

With an open kitchen, there were warm greetings and acknowledgment all round as we walked in. Already feeling the good vibes coupled with a sleek interior and some catchy 80ā€™s tunes playing, it was off to a rosy start.

Sipping on my Mango Smoothie, I eagerly awaited my Kimchi Fried Rice and Spicy Creamy Prawns - a combination Iā€™ve had several times elsewhere yet still canā€™t get enough of! It must be the tanginess and kick of the kimchi against the garlicky creamy sauce that make them work so well together.

My fried rice turned out as anticipated and it was delicious, but the prawns failed to hit a home run with a sauce that was lacking in flavour and viscosity. It wasnā€™t quite the marriage made in heaven this time, but still fulfilling nonetheless.

My partnerā€™s Bulgogi Bibimbab with Miso Soup was visually pleasing with a taste to match and his side of kimchi was replenished as needed without even having to ask.

In operation just slightly under a year, thereā€™s a sense of potential here that might just give the other more established Korean places in the same area a run for their money.

To try:
- Dakgangjung, their fried boneless chicken drenched in addicting sweet chilli sauce. We almost didn't want to share the dish!
- Salmon sashimi, very fresh and generously sliced

You can BYO, staff were lovely and polite although they were short staffed. A very cute unassuming place for a tasty feed, we will be back!

This unassuming restaurant is a wonderful place to experience a piece of Korea. The moment you step inside, it is obvious that thought has been given to the modern decor. The menu is not extensive so finding something that suits your palate should not be too hard. We had kimchi jjim, pork bones and potato jigae and some cold kimchi noodles... all delicious. The kitchen can be seen from the tables which I think is a bonus. Service was efficient, polite and friendly. Highly recommended!

It is a neat interior restaurant. Staff are also polite. He does not laugh very well. The kamja-tang was really delicious. Kimchi jjim was too sweet. The price is reasonable and the taste is above average. I'll back again.

4/5 home style Korean meals! Nice stews here. Really enjoyed something different thatā€™s not the Kbbq. Very filling home style meals. Iā€™ve uploaded the menu as the ones we saw 2 years back were way lower and already set our price expectations. Overall had a good time. Come with 2-3 people to share a few dishes is the way to go!

Food was good! Highly recommended ā˜šŸ»However, thereā€™s only 1 servant working and serving 6-7 tables hence there are times where he could be a little slow while serving but other than that, it was a pleasant visit.

One of our favourite Korean restaurants. You need to order the Tteok-bokki! We like it, it has more sauce than typical Tteok-bokki. We also order the Spicy Chicken with cheese. Super spicy, make sure you ask for less chilli. We ordered the Raw Salmon Bipbimbap and it is unique the way they use the egg white in there. Highly recommended!!

Nice place, good service. The tofu was a bit bland but they really had some great options. Itā€™s a lovely little place thatā€™s quiet and got an open kitchen. Itā€™s fun to watch them make the meals and line them all up on the counter.

Been here twice now & it is pretty good with both traditional Korean & Japanese fusion food. Pancake kimchi is tasty & liked my fav - the Soondubu - seafood hotpot stew which comes with rice & 3 small sides incl kimchi. Tteok Bok Ki has the spicy sweet flavour with the glutinous chewy stuff. Cheese Buldak seems to have the same sweet spicy sauce as Tteok Bok Ki. Unfortunately- they don't serve the Korean "black" rice that I love. Service is good & prompt. Book for larger groups.

Danji does things a bit differently than your average korean restaurant. They throw in a few Japanese menu items in there too (nigiri, udon..) 1. Boneless FRIED CHICKEN! Although the sauce was heavy and it indeed weigh down the crispness a bit, we didn't mind it because the inside was the juiciest korean fried chicken bite I've ever had... The juices seeped through every bite. 2. Bibimbap was average. 3.Beef tataki and 4.nigiri were not done as well like at standard Japanese restaurants. Dessert with chocolate spring rolls with matcha was a great finisher. šŸ‘ Simple but with nice elements, executed well.
