The best restaurant in Chatswood. I've ordered the prawn with salted egg, squid ink dumpling, squid ink noodles, and CHERRY Durian (The best!)
ordered cherry durian, pan fried pork buns, egg custard piggy buns, squid ink noodles, 3 mini chicken mushroom things and eel fried rice for 3 people. had a delicious filling lunch. it was good portions for the price as well.
the cherry durian things just melts in your mouth and actually tastes like durian 🤤🤤 the presentation was so cool and i’ve never had anything like that recommended 💯 5/5
pan fried pork buns were an absolute fav 4.5/5
the eel fried rice was nice, had an authentic taste but didn’t have that much eel 3.5/5
squid ink noodles was okay 3/5
egg custard piggy buns were soft and not too sweet 4/5
the 3 mini chicken mushroom dish things were eh 2.5/5
Good portion, flavourfull food and cheap price. Worth the wait!
What can I say... this place offers a HUGE variety of all kinds of dishes hot and cold dishes at a decent price. I like how most of the dishes are smaller and cheaper so you can pick and choose and order even more. We ordered around 10 dishes between us to share and they were all dishes, filled with flavour and seasoning and yum.
Came here for lunch in a group of four. Within walking distance to Chatswood Station and located in a busy shopping strip.
Ordered lots of yummy food at a very reasonable price. To those who enjoy boiling hot single-serve soup, this is definitely the place to go. Also do not forget to order one of the stonepot meal!
Mr Stonepot is a master at interesting food and heat management.
I get the appeal of the pan baked pork bun. It was like a xiao long bao, gyoza and char shao bao got together. Crunchy base, hefty size and oozing soup.
Also my first time trying sea urchin (served with tofu). It tasted like anchovies which is not for everyone but I’m glad I tried it.
Bit of a wait but the dishes are served piping hot and they stay hot till the last bite.
Came here on Tuesday night and was very packed. We made a booking for 6 people but that was really a noted status, as they did not reserve a table anyway. The table turnover rate was quick enough so we did not wait too long.
We ordered way too much food as the portion was not small at all: chicken with vegetable sauce, xiao long bao, pan fried dumplings, bread with condense milk, stir fry rice cake, stone pot rice with garlic prawns and mussels, sweet and sour pork, deep fried eggplant, and this lemongrass beef.
the dumplings and xiao long baos were really nice, bursting with flavour and the skin thin.
I find the lemongrass beef and sweet and sour pork quite average. They put stones underneath the food, presumably to keep it warm, but the presentation made it hard to fish for food.
The stonepot rice was unique, it was smoky but not a must-try for me, portion was very big but quite heavy (with the cream sauce).
It was a cheap meal considering the amount of food we ordered. Minimal service because it was so busy.
the food here is simply amazing, so many variety and different from your standard chinese restaurant. The fried bao is a must order everytime we visit!
After a random walk around Chatswood, I stumbled upon a queue of people at Mr Stonepot and decided that it was now on my list to try. The restaurant at Chatswood is located within a random shopping centre opposite Westfields. Within the shopping centre, there's a food court sort of area where they can serve you or you can also sit inside the restaurant.
Recently, Mr Stonepot opened in Chatswood- the restaurant provides excellent food and service.
If you love Chinese (from China, NOT Hong Kong) food, this is the place to be😝😝😝😝😝.
Reasonable price, fast service and staff are very friendly. Look no further, you don't know it until you give it a go😄.
Thanks to Mr Stonepot for bringing colourful life to Chatswood😄😝😄😝😄
Hope you enjoyed your food on the next visit.
Best wishes
