Review Angel Terrace - Chatswood

This is a welcoming hotel, the staff are always ready to help you and it's open 24/7. There are some few very stand out people who work here like Alex who is very understanding and quick to remedy any concerns, so efficient always. John the maintenance manager is amazing and is always ready to help fix anything at a drop of a hat, straight away. The Hotel is very cosy and quite considering you are on a busy road. The gym and pool facilities are good too. I also like the restaurant downstairs called Basil. It is well priced and a pleasant stay. I would highly recommend this Hotel. They also accommodate young children which helps if you are a travelling family. You will be pleasantly surprised.

First, the reception wanted to double charge me even though I had paid online for accommodation already. And took way too long to check us in. The bed was hard and uncomfortable. I paid more to have a kitchen and never got anything to cook on, so we had to get microwave food. I would recommend going to another hotel, don't waste your money or your time on this one.

We booked for 5 - 2 adults, 3 children all 11 and under. When I booked, I called, requesting a roll-a-way. I followed up with an email, requesting the same. We booked a two bedroom deluxe. When we arrived we discovered that it’s not two bedrooms in one apartment, it’s two rooms next to each other. Children can’t open the doors between rooms themselves. It’s either incredibly unsafe with children left to their own devices, or parents have to divide and sleep in separate rooms, sharing a bed with a wriggly child . There was no roll-a-way so we had 4 beds for 5 people. When my husband went to talk to reception, he was told ‘It’s too bad, it’s a long weekend. There are none’. Reception made NO attempt to resolve, even with the email request and reply in front of them. My husband asked for it be resolved upon our return from an appointment and was told, sorry but there are no beds. I then called and I was told the same. It took for me to repeatedly explain that we had booked for 5, paid for 5, included our children’s ages in the booking, emailed and called in the request for a roll-a-way at the time of booking, and still only had 4 beds. I was told I could have a discount, but no bed. I refused to accept this answer so I was then offered a third room. I had to point out that that would mean one child (all under 12) would have to sleep in a hotel room by themselves. I was then told they would call me back. No phone call. An additional bed was finally put in one room, but having to ‘fight’ for this is simply ridiculous. What kind of customer service is this?? Greed clearly drives their interactions. Mattresses are so saggy you nearly hit the ground and I had to wipe down bedside tables as there was something sticky spilt on two of them, which hadn’t been cleaned up. Bathroom mirror had something splattered all over it too. Not great cleaning for COVID times. Or any time for that matter. Good location, but wouldn’t recommend at all.

asked for an early checkin they said yes anytime after 12 once we arrived we had to wait an extra 2 hours as room wasn’t ready. Staff are incompetent and really don’t try to help you with anything, my friend checked us out and left my bag with them. They told me no bags were left at the receptionist and rudely dismissed any further questions I asked. Once I arrived home which is two hours away I called and insisted that my bags were left with them and once I insisted they then decided it was a good idea to call the day shift staff. My bag was in the other room they just decided not to look clearly. One of the worst experiences I have had

After checking in at 4.45pm Friday evening 22.04.22 we went to our room 625, the room had a funny smell to it when we walked in that was the first impression we got was what is that funky smell. We thought we would put our drinks in the fridge, the fridge was turned off and not working and the top tray of fridge was full of water with a clear hose in it. the long life milk had to be thrown out as they were like sealed custard cups (curdled and off). so that meant no coffee for breakfast. my wife thought she would have a wine before we went out for dinner while the wine was cold she went to get a wine glass out of the cupboard only to find both the wine glasses were filthy dirty and looked like the cleaners just shoved the glasses back in the cupboard without washing them. so that meant no wine before we go out for dinner. i went down to the front desk to make a formal complaint to the concierge and asked to speak to the duty manager he informed me they don't work on weekends, i gave him one of the wine glasses that was putridly dirty and also told him that the fridge didn't work and he just stood there like a stunned mullet and didn't say a word !!!!. He didn't offer to have clean glasses taken to our room. He didn't offer to put us in a different room with a working refrigerator and that didn't smell He didn't offer to supply us with fresh milk so we could have a coffee in the morning. We could not even access the WI-Fi that was included in the room rate. The OAKS website portrays beautiful pristine suites and rooms, from first hand experience i was disgusted with the service and the quality of the way the room was presented for $189.00 per night that we spent. To be honest we would have received better service from a backpackers hostel being in Sydney and the oaks first impressions are lasting impressions.

Decent for its price. The room was clean. Staff are okay. Fast Internet connection. We haven't tried any of their facilities so I couldn't write a review about it. Recommended for family or couple.

Worse hospitality ever, not sure how the manager (angela irene) got this job role, disgusting attitude. Was accused of noise complaint without even investigating. They should really reflect on their service. Such a nice location but ran by non educated manager. Highly do not reccommend. Worse experience ever
