We came at a quiet Monday night and ordered 3 dishes. The fish fillets was spicy and delicious and the customer service was great because the waiter offered to get the chilies out for us (otherwise I guess we’d be eating chili instead of fish). The jellyfish was also very delicious and was probably our favorite. However I don’t recommend the deep fried eggplant (which is not in the photo) as the skin wasn’t cooked properly. We were quite disappointed about this dish. Overall, the staffs were very helpful and polite and the dishes were mostly good.
We entered to great appetizing smells and a polite staff. A quick wait time and we had our table. We started off with tea and crispy yummy spring onion pancakes, even though it was deep fried the pancake was not extra oily. Next was kind prawns and red chilly special sauce, which was just amazing. The sauce was all tingly and numbing like true schizuan pepper, the prawns were fresh and perfectly cooked. We also had stir fried noodles with chicken which was again great. The chicken was not boiled and sit fried, it was coated and deep fried then added to the noodles. The portion size was great. Will be back to have the barramundi and twice cooked pork belly.
Have been a few times and the food is always very good. Unfortunately the service stops it getting a higher rating. If it was an inexpensive Chinese restaurant with great food then the service wouldn't matter but it's not cheap so we expect a bit better. Staff are relatively friendly but at times are unresponsive when we are waving our arms trying to get them to come to our table :) Great food though...
I have heard that red chilli Sichuan is one of the best Chinese restaurants in Sydney. I have been here once and we ordered butter melon salads, their signature spicy fish w chilli oil and shredded spicy potato. We were very happy with the food.
Friends and I love Sichuan food, so we decided to come and try this place out.
The place is quite busy at 6 on friday, but not to a point you need to make a booking.
We got spicy chicken, eggplant, mapo tofu and spicy beef. The chicken cold dish was not as good as the one I had before in other places, but it was boneless and easy to eat. All sauces tasted a bit similar, nothing too wow.
Everything is a bit too oily for my liking. However the portion is big and price is reasonable. Can omit tofu. Maybe we will try some other non-saucy dish next time.
Great for takeaway - especially the fish hot pot that will blow your mind! Fantastic food for the lovers of chilli.. however the service when dining in is quite slow. It's a testament to this restaurant how busy it always is, as the food is unreal!
Nice food, very chilli, staff are friendly, make sure you booking in advance~ furnitures are unique~
Very ideal for chilli and Chinese food lovers!
I think the red chefs Special fish fillets is very good .
Especially with fresh fish to make the fish fillets .
I really like the special one ,it can make me to eat more food,Increased my appetite.
In addition to that,I very appreciate the Sichuan bean jelly dressed with sour and spicy sauce.
Because bean jelly is very soft, and the texture so special.
Except for food, waiter and waitress are very nice
If I have some question for the meal, they can help me to solve the problems and give me some opinion.
Very authentic Chinese cuisine. I really like a dish call "Hot pot beef”, it's super hot!! I have never eaten anything so delicious. I love red chilli!
it is a good restaurant to eat chill food, and thorough and satisfactory in service, very nice environment. I recommend this resturant. specially, in this rainy day.
Have you ever walked past a restaurant so many times that after a while you forget it’s even there? I’ve been past the Harbour Plaza branch of the Red Chilli Sichuan Restaurant in Chinatown so many times that it’s just blurred into the background and it was only until recently that the fam and I went for lunch.
ood evironment is served here,we have Chinese staffs and cooks, they serve traditional sichuan cuisine, and also Chinese local specialty, nosh, chaffy dish etc. With conversation surroundings,Chinese style and located in hotel area,in a word ,this place can give a good service.
Need to say, this is one of my favourite place to go, the shop never let u down, the food is keep doing great n constantly bring out new dishes. Just been there a few days again, surprisingly they have the other hotpot shop now just downstairs!!! Definitely come back another time for it.

Excellent value for money, food is of high quality and great variety. Love the service, Will definitely visit again..................................................................................................
I ordered the steamed halibut with chilli sauce last time, it was really tasty!!!! The service was quick and efficient, good experience in Red Chilli restaurant.
Boiled chicken with hot spicy sauce, twice cooked pork and hot pot fish, etc. are very traditional Sichuan style dishes. I highly recommend you order those dishes. I was told that the asparagus lettuce was cultivated in the owner's farm, and the Sichuan spicy sausage was also home made by the owner of the restaurant.
With a glass of Riesling, we had some celtuce salad and beef salad. The chilli prefects mathces the citrius coming from the wine! The fish fillets are very tender and we enjoyed our meal a lot!
Hot pot fish fillets are my favorite! After having dinner in this company's other shops, this one is definitely the best so far!! I love the presentation and the food taste. It just suit me well

Best restaurant I ever had in Sydney! Offering spicy food and wonderful seafood, this is definitely you best choice for seafood and traditional Chinese Sichuan food.
Food: Amazing food, great service/hospitality!
Waiters are always around to cater for our needs.
Dumplings & noodles taste amazing and fresh!
Full of flavor and the presentations of each dish are always spectacular.🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶
great atmosphere, good restaurant to have your gatherings and dinner.🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶
As I am now a regular at this restaurant, this place has not let me down once.👍👍👍🌶
Price, it might be quite pricy when you first look at the menu however when the dishes come you will feel it's well worth it. Definitely come back for another catch up with mates!!
I like go to there with my friends. I like to eat spicy food, and I think it is a good place for me. I think the hot pot beef is very delicious.
I think people should book the seats at first.
Brilliant. Absolutely loved the pork hock it was so tender, juicy and flavorful we went back twice just to eat it. Great service, attentive staff but not annoying.
Really cool fit out and decor. Definitely recommend!
A fantastic restaurant in chastwood. The beef and soup is quite delicious because the chief is very good! Lots of Chinese love this place very much
Absolutely a place worth trying. The food is beautiful and tasty. I have never had the food in that quality. Those who like Spicy style have to try this
Good place to enjoy sichuan food. I love boiled chicken with chili sauce very much and go there twice a week. Wish everyone have a good time there.
Best sichuan food ever. This restaurant is the most delicious food i have been before. There are many food i like, such as Kung pao chicken ,hot pot fish fillets and so on. I have been here many times and when i miss hot spicy food this is my only choice.
Best Chinese spicy food I have eaten in Sydney. The servers here are just wonderful and have great memories it seems. The food was absolutely wonderful, especially for the special fish fillet which is fresh and tender.
I'm highly recommend the Sichuan all spicy and not spicy dishes were delicious especially special fish. Staff were very friendly, good manners and the services were so nice as well.
Nice food and service. Hot pot fish is delicious. I hate Chinese pepper and hot pot fish is one of spicy dishes which do not contain Chinese pepper.
Red chilli Sichuan is a place where you can get all those tasty dishes you like with some local flavours.
From chicken to seafood even veggies you can be sure if your a spice lover his place is something you need to try.
This is my first time I've tried Sichuan style restaurant in Sydney. The asparagus lettuce taste so good.I've never tried this vegetable before. And one of the entree called BoBo chicken. It mixed sugar and chili with chicken. So love it!!!
Came from Canberra, As a big fan of Sichuan cuisine, I decieded to try this restaurant and the outcome is satisfactory, dishes here are as delicious as what I tasted in its Canberra branch!
I love these spicy dishes and those waiters and waitress are very kind. They taught me Chinese names of those dishes, although I have forgot how to spell those words. Special fish is my favourite dish.
Recommended by a friend of mine. Had to make a reservation during dinner period otherwise you have to take a long queue for your table. Highly recommend stir fried snow crab with chilli and lamb ribs with cumin. Never had such delicious dishes in Australia. Customer Service is also a plus. I dropped my chopsticks and the girl gave me another pair just in seconds! Definitely will come back. Strongly recommend! You will not be disappointed!
Came from Canberra to meet some foreign friends in Sydney and they asked me to recommend a Chinese restaurant. I used to have good experience in their Canberra branch, so I recommended this place. My friends were deeply impressed, especially by the beef slices with sweet and sour sauce! They said they would definitely go back here to try other dishes!
The food were really good, best Chinese food I have ever had in Sydney. And the services were so nice as well, highly recommended! Perfect place to have a good meal!
Super delicious food, if you haven't been this restaurant before, I would definitely recommend you to check out this place! And the waiters have really good manners.
When I first came to Chatswood, my friend recommended the sichuan cuisine. With my friends in the shop after eating feel really worth a visit. Setting aside the food is very delicious, the store service gave me deep impression. If I come to Chatswood next time I will come this store again!
Warm Service and delicious food!!!
Authentic Sichuan style spicy food, there's always long waiting queue on weekends, its best to make a booking before going to have a dinner.
Very good flavour and the price is resonable. The waiters have good manners . Everything is good and its very traditional and classic for Chinese.
Tried this before at Chinatown. It's great as usual. Will be back for the chef special fish fillet --My favourite dish!!! Better have a booking cos it's busy.
love it, very good Chinese food!If you are going here, either book or arrive early to get a table. Everything we tried was delicious. From the dumplings to the spring rolls to the chicken. Definitely worth a visit and a tasting.
want to taste where Spicy and Seafood, this is place to go. Best recommandation? Steamed Egg custard with Snow Crab, which is a none spicy dish......Perfect
it's a pretty good Sichuan restaurant, I love the food so much! especially the chef special fish?(not sure, forgot the name) there are so many chilli on the top, that's looks amazing! smell also good! I do recommend! By the wsy, you better booking a table before you go there…
Love Red Chilli Sichuan Restaurant. I normally go to Burwood store but sometimes with family I visit Chatswood store as they have private room. It's really great Sichuan food place; if you love bit spicy & Chinese food, must visit place.
Very spicy sichuan resto
Love the three meat chilli entre (forgot its name) best dish and staple when eating at chilli resto
All dishes are pretty chilli which is great (and expected since, you know, sichuan) but quite far from chatty and you have to park outside or at chatty chase, also on the pricier side
I love Red chilli Sichuan restaurant in Chinatown, passing through Chatswood I found this branch I was so excited! Ordered cucumber salad and Sichuan chili oil with boiled fish. It was lovely, very spicy and made with plenty of peppers. It gave me a bit of heart burn after but that's the price you have to pay eating spicy food sometimes ;-)
By Miss K on Jan 11, 2012 Deep fried chicken dices with hot chilli (have no idea how to caption thumbnails) I’m obsessed with chilli and spicey food nowadays, no idea why but thats why we came to this place. This was our main dish of the night. Tasted much better than the Sichuan restaurant we went to in Melbourne, mainly because these little chicken pieces didn’t have bones. Mmmm wouldn’t mind eating Sichuan food again ! The bill at this place come to under $50 for two. Their menu weighted almost 1kg == so heavy to lift up Chinese Kimchi and Peanuts Yeah I also don’t understand why Chinese restaurants give out peanuts as side dishes whereas Korean restaurants give you better Kimchi, potatoes, salad, bean sprouts, and heaps of other varieties. Sichuan Bean Jelly with Sour & Spicy Sauce I hesitated this dish because I wanted some pork belly dish because it looked yummier in the photo. But surprisingly it tasted quite good. It was a bit weird to see peanuts in the dish but I realised you
The version dished out by the House of Well Water was moist, hinted of rubbed spices and with lean meat.
Once you step into the restaurant, you are transported to China. The interior of the restaurant is decked out in furniture from China. It’s not that it’s a bad thing,

It's so cute! Pork and cucumber! On a miniature clothesline! It's the first thing that catches my eye when we make it up the stairs and onto the landing of Red Chilli Sichuan in Chatswood. Despite our booking, we're told to wait for a table to clear, join
We love it! We go at least once a week. Service can be lacking at times but the food is amazing! Chilli chicken, pork w leeks, green beans, corn w salted egg yolk. 9.5/10
Not cheap, but great value. Service is reasonably brisk and they are happy to recommend dishes (always a plus when it comes to new food).
Chillies tend to be more fragrant than hot - but stick with the 1 chilly dishes for a start (out of 3). Fortunately all hot dishes are rated on the menu and they seem happy cooling down or heating up the chilly scale if asked.
Outrageously good Mao Xue Wang with sea cucumber, calamari, fish fillets, prawns, blood (A fanger favourite) and of course buckets of chillis
