Izakaya Arigato is starting to become of my defaults when in Chatswood for a reasonably-priced, last-minute dinner. Ever since the Concourse was erected, "Eat Street" has become a lot less busy, and for those who want to have a nice quiet dinner and not line up for tables, this street is (at present) the place to go.
...sushi roll of chicken katsu & cooked tuna, with fried onion on top and mustard drizzled over it. Very nice despite what seems to be a strange combination

This is another new entry on Eat Street , set to put Chatswood back on the map as a dining destination. Inside it's quite organic, with a waterwheel muting the intensity of pin spot lighting, and a cleverly constructed wooden feature wall. Al fresco dinin
Excellent food. Very warm and cozy environment. Wait staff friendly and always willing to help. Recommend the tiger sushi and vege udon. Can't wait to go back.
Nice beer and food. Enjoyed it - nice Japanese beer on tap - and very good kara-age.
STuna spicy was a bit weird - some chili sauce over the top not to my liking - so look out for some combinations. Tatoyaki was as nice as I have had.
Very popular place and at one time they were low on kitchen staffs that we had to wait ages for our food to be served. Their lunch specials are very worth it and I always have chicken katsu. Note that they are Korean Japanese, so katsu is thinner and crunchier and is served on a big bowl-plate with a cute small ball-shaped serving of rice and shaved cabbage.
Food morning voucher. Wow!! can I say my whole family was very impressed with the food at Izakaya. My family and I love to try different food but are unsure as to where to go... so we hop on line to join the great deals in sydney... and we bought a voucher to the restaurant to give it a try... The bento box was excellent. We were most impressed with the sushi and the salad. It was also good serves for the price. We highly recommend this place. Give it a try!!!
