When the weather is down, and you want to warm up! Mood hotpot in Chatswood is the place to go!!! All the essential ingredients that you would find in a hotpot restaurant is there! Trust me, their sauces are amazing! But not only that, after a warm hotpot feast, you can also order desserts to satisfy the day!
Mood Chatswood is quite new and delivers great fresh ingredients. I ordered the pickled fish broth but there are many options which you can choose from. Presentation of all the dishes are so cute and very pleasing to the eyes. The pate served in the bamboo is definitely worth trying as it not only looks great but the shrimp one tastes amazing.
Location was a little hard to find for me at first but it is located in the plaza off the main strip of Burwood.
Great designed restaurant! Food is very tasty and good quality. Big portions!
I dined here as part of an organised foodie event (meal was complimentary). The restaurant is spacious, with high ceilings and plenty of seating options. I also appreciated the vast selection of sauces available. Between us we had a variety of soup options with some notable mentions to the tomato and oxtail and the chicken soup. Some of my favourite dishes to accompany the soup were as follows:
- thinly sliced wagyu - cooked up really well in the soup and was flavoursome
- cold spicy chicken - more of a starter but I really liked the flavours and there was a good hit of spice
- seafood platter - a good selection of seafood (prawns, crab, mussels, scallops, cuttlefish) served over ice to keep them fresh for serving
- fish roe balls - something a bit new for me but I actually enjoyed them. Soft outside with crunchy roe on inside. Almost like a dumpling
Overall I enjoyed my experience at Mood. You would probably end up paying ~$50pp to be well fed so that's something to keep in mind.
Love the fresh beef and pork, veggies and seafood at this place the hotpot soups were also good as well, would recommend! They have lots of sauces and drinks
Beautiful dish display. You could have your own hot pot exclusively. Also, the merchants have menu for single person nearly half price, which is very friendly.
Located on Victoria Avenue right near Chatswood train station, Mood is one of my new favourite hotpot restaurants.
They have a delicious selection of soup bases to choose from, and I love how you can choose half and half in your individual pot so everyone can choose exactly what they like. I'm currently obsessed with the tomato oxtail soup!! So much flavour and tastes great with their range of premium quality meats, pastes, and fresh seafood. If you like a little extra heat, their spicy soup does not disappoint either.
They've also recently launched a new crab menu. I tried the salt and pepper crab which is delicious!! I'll be back to try the salted egg yolk crab.
Highly recommended!
One of my favourite spots for hotpot
It's conveniently located near Chatswood station, food is affordable with a huge variety, loved how fresh everything is. Their crab is so flavourful and definitely one of the meatiest I have ever had
Literally in love with this place! Especially in winter!
As I live not to far away, I come here quite often. I love the food especially the selection of meat and seafood. Seafood are all fresh and delicious. They have a great meat selection so you will definitely find one you fancy! The soup base is also stunning, especially the tomato and oxtail one! But if you can’t pick one, just go with the half half pot so you can try another flavour too!
They recently also launched their crab menu, which is stunning! My favourite will need to be the salted egg yolk one.
Definitely will recommend anyone to visit! 5/5
Located only a minute walk from Chatswood station we were treated to a fantastic experience at Mood premium hot pot. It is a large venue with plenty of seating spread over two storeys, it has modern decor and is very well lit.
The quality of meats and seafood here are very good quality, stand out dishes were the wagyu, tripe and tongue. The soup bases available are plentiful and extremely tasty. If you're looking for a venue to have a great time with friends while enjoying good food then I recommend Mood. The staff are friendly and attentive and will make sure you have a great dining experience.
This is my favourite hotpot (ok I don't really like hot pot that much but I love this place). You can mix your own sauces at the buffet sauce bar and I go a little nuts (no pun intended) - I mix mushroom, peanut, shallots, garlic mesh, ground peanut, sesame, fried onions and mushroom sauce... I always get the mushroom platter with mushroom soup and noodles. They have a great lunch special which is cheaper and better than anything I can cook.

If you love hot pot, this restaurant can be one of the places to go to.
With two level seating area, this place can easily accommodate large groups of people.
As for the hot pot itself, you can choose a large variety of meat, veggies, seafood, mushrooms and more from the menu.
Their soup bases are also varied so the options are endless, really.
Everything that I tried was delightful and I loved the fact that they have so many condiments to choose from (sauces, toppings, chilli etc).
They also have desserts which are quite unique.

Some of the best hotpot I’ve had in Sydney so far! Especially loved the spicy soup base as it had the right amount of spice without being too overpowering.
Loved the quail eggs, cucumber salad, fish cakes and spicy garlic crab as well. Everything is just flavored perfectly and you can grab as many sauces as you want. Great place for hotpot!
For $13.90, I got myself the lunch set that came with some quality lamb slices, plenty of veges and noodles to fill me up. All of these got cooked expertly (by me of course) in a tasty mushroom broth at my table. To top it off, the sauce station was amazing, featuring over 20 types of dipping sauces and condiments.
TIP: The waitress will top up your soup if it dries out. Another way to prevent the soup from evaporating too fast is to adjust the heat being applied to your pot.
Winter time has me in the “MOOD” for some premium hot pot.
See what I did there?
The team at @mood_chatswood on Victoria Ave, Chatswood fed me and my foodie family last night.

Swipe left and check out the plates that hit out winter table.
This 2-story venue has plenty of room for walking, birthdays and functions.
Get there!
Good food. Tasty soup with quite a few choices. Wide selection of meat. Only thing is the price. Didn't order much. Spent $40+, don't really feel full.
