I went to meet a friend for a catch and he suggested your cafe. Can I say the food was amazing , the staff were friendly and courteous and very attentive. I will definitely be coming back and will be recommending your cafe to all my friends and family. Well done guys.

I used to always come here on the way home from uni to get a coffee and some lunch. The older lady who works there is lovely and the guy on the coffee machine (when I visited) was always so friendly and made the best coffee too. Loved popping in for a great soy latte and ham, cheese & tomato croissant.

I grabbed a couple of coffees and lemon tarts for afternoon tea. The coffee was smooth, the lemon tarts had a light lemon flavour with a slightly creamy almost custardy texture, very delicious. I also liked the size, not to small and not too big.
I also grabbed a beef pie and a chicken pie for consumption at a later date! These pies are huge and hearty, they have previously made a great Friday night dinner in my house when I couldn't be bothered cooking. I was pleased to grab a couple of these to stash in my freezer for future consumption.

I called into Johnny Dante for a small snack of a lunch after a late breakfast.
I took a look in the cabinets which had a range of salads, pies and various delicious slices, cakes and muffins. I only ended up having coffee and a tomato cheese toastie. The toastie was a little bit average if I'm honest. For me the bread wasn't that exciting and cheese only just melted. It really could have used another minute or two
I had no complaints about the coffee as it was strong and hot the way I like it.
I'd come back here to try some of the cakes and I observed some hearty breakfasts that looked tasty and well plated but would probably not give the toastie another go.

We’re walking around Cheltenham with my partner and friend looking for somewhere to have brunch and stumbled across Johnny Dante right beside Cheltenham station. My friend is vegan and we were very impressed to see the menu with easily identifiable vegan options and the flexibility to modify some meals too. The staff were incredibly friendly and although the cafe was full of people our coffee and meals were served promptly. We all really enjoyed the food and coffee (my friend even ordered another soy latte to go).
I called into this cafe as I was in the area. The service was friendly and welcoming.
Feeling hungry I ordered a grilled chicken burger trying to be a bit healthier lol, and a strong skinny latte.
My grilled chicken burger was delicious, there was plenary of chicken which was moist and seasoned ok. The bun was good and there was a lot of lettuce which was great and this definitely was a healthy burger.
My organic strong skinny latte had some good milk froth, which is perfect! Madame Reviver is a select coffee roaster so it’s good to find this :)
My friend had a cappuccino which I was told was really good and some chilli scrambled which waa spicy hahahaha.
This place is located next to Cheltenham train station so access is really easy if you don’t want to drive. This place is a must visit if your in the area.

Came here on a weekend and we immediately knew it is a place where locals go!
They have both an outdoor and indoor setting which was a lovely way for us to enjoy our dishes. With an outdoor setting, there were plenty of people there enjoying their coffee with their dogs.
Service was efficient and quick! Before we even sat on the seat outside, we were already greeted with a menu on hand. Coffee order was taken immediately. And mid meal checked up on us if everything was ok. We always appreciate this!
We ordered the pancakes and porridge and we definetly enjoyed our dish! It was done well and delicious. Never underestimate a dish that is considered basic when done so well.
They also have a display cabinet for quick and easy take away lunches and they looked all delicious!
Would definetly return for brunch or that quick coffee dash!
A lovely cafe in Cheltenham. Outdoor seating was comfortable and the service was great. Just a few casual coffees at this time but will try the food next time
Just love this place!!! I remember many years ago when it was an Italian cafe so it had certainly changed. This is the second time I have been here and it is a great find. Lovely friendly staff you almost feel like you are part of ‘their’ family.
Great selection of food on display plus cakes etc. I ordered the tart with mushrooms, the pastry was so light and the filling tasty. Added a side of salad for an extra $4 that in itself could have almost been a meal. A dressing would have made the salad perfect. Great portions and so fresh. My partner had one of the homemade pies and said it was delicious.
Coffee good but my tea was served in a chunky cup and a teabag in a pot - my pet hate! If I ever had the opportunity to run a cafe I would get china cups and use tea leaves. I wouldn’t care if they were mix matched as long as they were fine china. Tea tastes so much better in a decent cup made with leaves.
Will come back again, worth the drive.
I'm a regular here. The stand out dish to eat in is the Johnny Dante stack and to takeaway is the homemade chicken and leek pie. As for the desserts, i love the tarts. Service is prompt - but it can get really busy. Be sure to arrive before 3 if you want to eat in as they close kitchen around then and the cafe closes at 4:30. Therefore its a brunchy kind of place. It would be incredible if they had later hours though. Theres so much potential for it to grow even more considering the location too. People love late coffee in Cheltenham!

We sourced our Grand Final pies from Johnny D today. Heated them at home. My steak and mushroom was a deep rich pie with the most amazing pastry and KD’s Chicken & Leek also was a tasty little number. They had a home made look about them and a taste to match.

Great little cafe. Always really friendly staff. I've tried the mushroom medley and zucchini fritters. Both were fresh and delicious. Coffee is good too.
Good food friendly staff. Have only had breakfast there though. One of my favourite Egg Benny's.
Have been to Johnny Dante's a few times now with my partner usually for breakfast on a Sunday. The Big Breakfast is so reasonably priced and it's always amazing. The tomato relish is to die for. The coffee is also really good and the fresh fruit juices are yummy especially after a night out.
Fantastic coffee. Quick, efficient service and great if you need to grab a quick take away before boarding the train.
