Yummy dishes made with fresh ingredients. Love their meat platter and dum kheema. Always a delightful meal.
Been here twice and both times have been wonderful, staff are always very welcoming and pleasant to speak to. There is quite a lot of options on the menu, but each dish is always presented quite generously and freshly made. The food is traditional with lots of flavours present. I would highly recommend this restaurant and will continue to return.
A friend suggested Man O Slawa for dinner, telling us that it is one of the best Pakistani-Indian restaurants around. After my meal here, I must agree with him. The first thing you will notice is how busy this restaurant is. Despite the crowds, the food arrived promptly and while service was a bit disorganised, it was understandable and forgivable due to the hectic pace and the friendliness of the staffs.
Starting off with crunchy samosas that were generously filled and full of flavours, expectation was high for the mains. The butter chicken and palak paneer both showcased incredible depth of flavours - the butter chicken had kick to it, while the palak paneer was a creamy rich concoction. The chicken pieces were also cooked to tender perfection. An order of flaky garlic naan was mandatory to mop up all the delicious curry.
The wonderfully spiced lamb biryani was the highlight of the meal. The meaty flavour of the lamb shone through, and the rice was fluffy and maintained its individual shape and chew. Also fantastic was the chicken malai boti β succulent chunks of chicken, bursting with flavours from the herbs and spices, and with a smoky undertone from being char-grilled.
We didnβt think that we would be able to fit in dessert but after noticing almost every other customer ordering the kulfi, we knew we had to get them. So much more creamier than ice cream or gelato, it was a decadent way to end the meal. Highly recommended!

Came back here for dinner after a very long time and the food tastes exactly how it used. I mention that because consistency with food taste is something a lot of restaurants fail to keep up with. As expected there were few people waiting before us but it wasn't that hard to find a table.
We ordered Pani puri, Charcoal special mixed platter, Mutton saag, Haleem, Brain masala, tandoori bread and Ras malai. Everything was made to perfection I definitely can't pick a favourite because I loved everything that was served.
Friendly staff, it does get busy and hectic with so many customers but they are pretty quick with their service.

REAL BUTTER CHICKEN ALERT! π£ I'll be honest, i thought this was just a middle eastern grill house every time i drove past π Until one day we decided to actually check it out! π to our surprise they make everything from grilled meats and breads to curries and desserts! ππ½ if you've been following me recently, you'll learn that im on the search for the best butter chicken in melbourne! β what better place to start than clayton! π these guys have great indoor dining area with ample seating and lighting π was a little worried that it was empty when we walked in but boy they delivered! π
.
β 8.5/10! lets just say they make some damn goood butter chicken! β ive never been a big fan of the western version of butter chicken π€ creamy and sweet with no real spice or flavour, so when i get to taste some authentic real deal curry, it makes me too excited π amazing tastimg butter chicken! ππ½ fantastic deep, rich curry flavours with subtle a but distinct sweet, creamy body π just when i thought i found the best across the road, here comes competition π― goat curry was also a winner! The depth of flavours throughout the sauce is ridiculous! π³ You actually get a big serve of goat flesh aswell, which isn't normally the case! β the curry alone is $14 π° slightly higher than your average bowl in clayton, however you do get a decent serving when eating in.. so its easily worth it! πΈ theyre garlic naan is so good! Fresh, fluffy and full of flavour! π the perfect combo! ππ½ HIGHLY RECOMMEND! β
.
π‘ TIP - I recommend dining in at Man-O-Salwa! You get so much more curry and the naan is as fresh as it can be! π

Located close to many Indian and Pakistani restaurants, this place stands out due to its spacious sitting space, decor and most importantly the food. The kebab rolls, chicken biriyani are a delight to eat. Quick service, reasonable price are add-on.
We visited Man-O-Salwa late afternoon when it wasn't too busy. It does get very busy closer to the dinner time and I must suggest getting a table reserved.
The restaurant serves Pakistani dishes. They are similar to Indian dishes, but there is a difference in how spices are used and in what quantity. You will find the Indian dishes in restaurants more spicy, somewhat more oily, more aromatic and flavours with colours.
The Food at Man-O-Salwa (I should have asked the owners about the name and what it meant) appeared simpler yet it had the aromas, flavour and spiciness a good dish should have.
We ordered chicken biryani, goat nihari, daal tadka, mix veg, goat haleem and tandoori roti. This was the first time I had something authentic Pakistani like haleem or nihari. An interesting fact is that haleem is a superfood. It tasted okay, but I didn't like the stickiness.
Goat nihari was good. The meat was so tender that it was melting in the mouth.
Chicken biryani was delicious. Unlike Indian biryani, it did not contain spices like star anise, bay leaves, cloves, cardamom etc, yet the simple dish tasted amazing. Maybe sometimes simple is what you need.
I was astonished by the rate and size of the rotis. Nothing can beat fresh, warm roti. I saw naans served to other tables and had to ask what they were because they were huge. Should have ordered that too. :)
Tadka daal was delicious and I wish that it had a little less salt. The mix veg was tasty and you could taste the veggies with their individual sweetness. That was something surreal.
For parking, go inside the nearby street which has a parking place.
Overall, a good experience. Maybe next time I'll focus on the kebabs and the grilled stuff. I missed that this time.
Great customer service and awesome taste
100% Halal hand slaughtered chicken served here
Absolutely amazing food and amazing service by the staff. Was super excited to try this and it certainly didnβt disappointed . I donβt tend to have too much Pakistani cuisine but Iβll definitely be back as it was all super delicious and flavourful! Just the barbecue chicken was overcooked but it can be ignoredπ.
This is my first ever dining experience at a Pakistani restaurant in Melbourne. We walked in to try as we were attracted by the crowd of families tucking in their dinner. A good selection of dishes on their menu so we order a mix of dishes we are familiar with and experiment with others unknown to us. Must say all are delicious and worth the long wait, the only drawback costing them one star.
