The best big breakfast from Sydney all the way to Melbourne, or perhaps the whole of Australia! Had a weekend getaway with family to visit my best friend at Katunga. Googled “Cobram Brunch” and Ambience Bakery Cafe popped up. My friend told me despite living close by, he’s never had brunch at any of the local cafes. We had a good laugh. The young cashier was very humble, he cleaned the wet benches and tables throughly, and took our orders with patience. Service was friendly and speedy, but best of all is Ambience’s breakfast! The variety of tastes surprised us all, and I am struggling with words to describe the scrumptiousness of their pancakes and big breaky. Farm eggs, delicious baguette, sizzling mushrooms, fresh spinach, freshly made house jams and well made pancakes, complimented with surprisingly tasty mugs of coffee and hearty smiles, the whole experience was just sheer enjoyment. The price was also reasonable, about half what you are expected to pay for brunch at Melbourne. Will definitely visit again.
We went there for breakfast on a Sunday morning. It was really busy, but there were plenty of staff on ( at least 6) The coffees arrived within 10 minutes of sitting down and the breakfast not long after. Good sized meals with great prices. Coffee is great too.
Favourite place to eat in Cobram! Food is wonderfully presented and tasted fantastic. This trip we got the ‘big brekkie’, ‘egg avocado stack’ and ‘strawberry pancakes’. Staff are friendly and well mannered. Will definitely be back for those delicious pancakes, I think they are a new favourite!
