Thursday late morning we found 'Brunch on McBride' and had the best feast we had in a while! Paul and Elise are the proud and lovely owners and operators of this sweet, warm and welcoming cafe! All of the food items are handmade from scratch!!!! We could see the natural color of the food as we walked in! We had the smashed avo (highly recommend) and an almond coffee and it was absolutely divine! If you are in the Cockatoo area pay a visit at this local you will not regret it!

The owners are lovely and have some great puns. Their coffee is the best in town all of their sweets and pies are home made and are reasonably priced and delicious! I get food and coffee most days. Your guys are great and thanks for the yummy food

Still the best eatery in Cockatoo. Homestyle food cooked in house daily. Extensive menu and display including vegetarian, gluten-free, and occasional vegan options. Sandwiches and focaccias made to order. And the coffee! Mister Barista can meet all your desires, coffee wise 😀
'Brunch on McBride', lovely little cafe in Cockatoo. Staff were friendly and happy to assist us to re arange seating to allow us to fit pram at table. When ordering food, lovely young lady asked us if we wanted an extra plate to share our food with our son, was very considerate and kind, dont get that much anywhere these days! Thank you for a lovely brunch, will be seeing you again very soon!
Great little cafe in Cockatoo. Nice cappuccino and especially scrumptious Apple Blackberry cake. Ordered party food here as well - excellent gourmets sandwiches.
Delicious! Dropped in here for lunch mid week after finding everything in nearby Gembrook was closed. Outstanding quality and friendly service. The eggs on the avocado smash were poached to perfection. Excellent coffee.
Overall good experience. Mainly tried a few of quiches :) and a coffee. Staff were friendly and helpful. Certainly a good option while in Cockatoo!
Very friendly staff, and amazing food, all of quiches were home made and unbelievably delicious! My yummy chicken and salad roll was freshly made while i chatted with the owner. Highly recommended, I will be back for more home made goodness.
literally the best iced latte you can ever have !! they’re so lovely and nice :) as a local, it is the only place I go for iced lattes. I would pay 5x for it because that’s how great they are, the ratio to milk/coffee/syrup is amazing and better than any other cafe. if you come to emerald just drive an extra 5 mins and stop here for an iced latte!

Love Elise and Paul. Food is delicious, honest and made with love. Very first customer, and I'm still going back years later. They're doing something right! PS a bacon and egg sandwich, on toasted multigrain bread from the bakery next door, with salt, pepper and sauce....😍🤤😛

A classic understated Aussie sandwich shop. No skimping on ingredients here. Fresh food, cheerful people, on a quiet at. Simple. $10 for diy chicken and avocados roll.
A good range of sandwiches and focaccias and lovely home made cakes. A generous pot of leaf tea was enough for both of us. Great hospitality from the hosts.
