Good food at a reasonable price. Had a tuna steak with mussels and cous cous. Pizzas looked very nice. Waitress was attentive and friendly. Traffic noise was a bit of a distraction. Restaurant is popular with families with children.
Returned to the restaurant and enjoyed a prawn pizza with fresh rocket. Very tasty, thin crust pizza. Pizza base was great.
I'm very picky and this is simply one of the best and most consistent Italian restaurants around town. Wood fire oven pizza have this crunchy crust and chewy nutty dough inside. The prawn pot dish is divine, such is the depth of flavour. I come here once a week and never get disappointed by the food or the genuinely warm service of Norm and his staff.
This is my family's favourite restaurant and when a special occasion rolls around there is no need to even ask where everyone wants to go. The staff are friendly, patient and approachable - which is exactly what you want when you have young children. When taking orders they take the time to ask my children directly, which is quite special for them. The food is wonderful: flavoursome & hearty. The option of BYO is there which always saves a few dollars on the bill. The setting is also great - polished enough to make Mum & Dad (& the kids) feel like they are enjoying a dining experience (over and above the fast-food type designs) but relaxed enough that when your five year old laughs loudly or gets out of his seat, it is still OK. Overall, I can't recommend this place highly enough.
We came here tonight on a quite Tuesday evening with 2 little girls, 8 & 4. The young man who showed us to our table was so pleasant and welcoming. Having the girls was not an issue and he helped us with our menu selection
Nothing was a problem and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal and dessert too.
I live on the Central Coast , so was just visiting. However, my family agreed they would have no hesitation in returning and would certainly recommend Stella Italian
at Collaroy.
