Tried this place for dinner and was really impressed. Service was excellent and food was amazing. Baos and spring rolls were delicious. Vermicelli pork salad was full of flavour and a very decent portion. Pho was the right size after an appetizer. Will definitely be going back.

Really good! Great affordable and relaxed spot for some decent food. They have a huge vegan and veggie range but meat too. Highlights were the fried tofu and the prawns.

Friendly staff and great food . My sister in law loves the vegan duck pho and vegan coffee. My favourite is the pork bao . We will definitely come back 😊👍
Tonkin served delicious Asian-fusion/Vietnamese food in a cozy setting. Staff were friendly also, making Tonkin an excellent lunch/dinner choice.
Great place, cool vibe, nice decor. Staff were friendly, knowledgeable and very accommodating. After advising I wanted the tofu pho but didn't like the mushrooms that came with it, he offered to switch it out for the grilled duck instead at no extra cost; offered fresh chillies and chilli paste; no problem removing coriander on my request. Phos were $12 and a decent portion size. Wine by the glass was around $9-10. No BYO as far as I could tell. Highly recommend!
Great place to get your vegetarian meal. Half of their menu is vegetarian/vegan dishes. The pho broth feels clean and different to your pho broth. The bun is refreshing and the grill beef was tender and juicy. The portion is a little small though.
The only place I know that grills beef for their pho, which adds a whole other level of charred goodness! Broth was delicious, spring rolls were great with an awesome crispy texture. I highly rate the food and if they had just opened on time and were a little more customer focused I’d happily give them five stars!
Deserves to be way more popular than it currently is. Vegan / vegetarian Vietnamese options (who doesn't love all those v words?) and great, friendly staff.

Vietnamese Coffee Martini- MUST TRY. Such a smooth and delicious drink! One thing I have always loved about Vietnamese coffee is the slight sweetness and amazing after taste. I really enjoyed my martini at Tonkin and would recommend it to everybody!

I think we went a bit overboard with food and ended up over ordering. I am glad we did though cause here are my must trys!
Vegan Duck Bao- A regular sized yet extremely flavourful bao is a must try when you visit Tonkin. It is perfectly made and so well combined. Highly recommend it!
Vegan Duck Bun- Another dish cooked to perfection. Tonkin has definitely nailed mock duck. Absolutely loved it and would recommend it.

Found this place because of eat club and it was a great find! The food was really genuine, tasty and fresh. We loved the chicken ribs and bao! Cocktails are decent too. The vibe is laid back and chill, it wasn’t very busy when we went despite being a Saturday night!
Very friendly staff, cool atmosphere, great service and excellent food. We went in for a beer during happy hour and had the papaya salad, salmon bün and salmon skewers. The salmon in particular was incredibly fresh and perfectly put together. Will definitely be going back.
I recently discovered this humble restaurant and it instantly became a favourite of mine. The venue is spacious and nicely decorated. The food is absolutely delicious and offers many veggie options, the Vegan Duck Bao and Vegan Pho were amazing! What made this place so special though is the owner, he seems to truly care about food and creating a pleasant experience for his customers. I hope this place does well as I think it’s just wonderful.
Token slowly became our go-to for a sneaky drink after work. On top of the Orion tap beer, there are a variety of cocktails that are worth a try as well.
Tonkin also serves a variety of Vietnamese inspired food and I highly recommend that you try their noodle soup. It is far better and reasonably priced than the noodle place a few door down, I'd go to Tonkin for lunch/dinner any day.
If you are reading this standing in front of the door I highly recommend you to walk in the door!
Little hidden gem down on Smith St. Great little nook to check out with a small group of friends. Share so you scab a bit of everything and taste test their great cocktail menu. Highly recommend the pineapple whisky sour and the one with Vietnamese coffee! Love the tofu, ribs and I'm not the type to order Vegan pho but the broth is hands down amaze balls. Really genuine hearty stuff. The staff are friendly and sociable so if you rock up as a loner which I have done before, it's always a good chat with Tan and Ro!
Dropped by for lunch, very nice design and friendly staff. Ordered the lunch bowl :) making me happy. The grilled pork was tender and rich in taste, matching well with the noodle. Love the fresh vegetables on top as well. Was on the bar table so watched the chef getting the food ready in front of me... Feeling special :) highly recommended
Cosy little hole in the wall amongst the old shopping outlets of Collingwood. The food was tasty, tastes as authentic as you can get on smith st and the drinks were delicious! I absolutely loved the vego pho, I'm a huge fan of meat filled phos but their vegetarian version is just as good if not better! So much flavour without meat - yum! The staff are warm and friendly. Will definitely be back for more!
Staff were very friendly and helpful. The happy hour is definitely worth stopping by for ($12 cocktails, $6 beer) as it applies to the whole beverage list, not just a select few items. The food was yummy - definitely try the tofu dengaku and the lettuce wraps. Prices are reasonable (not on the cheap end, but it is Collingwood). Overall, a lovely, casual but quality place.
Checked this place out about a month ago with some friends after work and was not disappointed. Love love LOVE the cocktails! If you're not sure what to try, ask the bar tender for a recommendation - you'll be surprised what he can come up with. The staff are friendly and the food is simple but oh-so flavoursome. The fried chicken was finger licking good, the salmon skewers cooked perfectly, and papaya salad fresh and zingy. The tofu dengaku is a must try! Unfortunately the squid, pork meatballs and beef in betel leaf were gobbled up before we remembered to take photos. Definitely coming back.

A few visits later and they've included some new dishes. The vegetarian dishes are SO good! I could actually become one if i had to eat the pho every day 😍
We heard about a new bar & grill opening up around the corner and decided to drop in and see what its all about. The food were delicious, the service and atmosphere was perfect. Thank you Tan who was a perfect host and went out of his way to make us feel very welcome . We will definitely be visiting again.
