Chips were good, nothing amazing but good! Salad was fresh and actually contained more than the usual 2 or 3 pieces of feta! There is no such thing as too much feta, ha. Potato cakes were pretty good, tasted sweet though (?)
This is about the 5th time I've got fish and chips from these guys. My partner and I usually get the "Pack 4 two" and it is plenty for the two of us. Their regular battered fish is the best I've had in Melbourne and the chips are good and plentiful. The potato cakes are small but delicious and the dim sims huge and delicious. The salad? I'm not at a fish and chips place for the salad, but I'd say the ingredients were fresh but it's a little heavy on the dressing.
The staff a friendly and very good at communicating what's happening with your order. The last time we ordered was a busy Friday night and the food was a little slow but we were contacted and told what was happening, which I found really helpful.
I'd say this is now my favourite fish and chips shop in Melbourne and I'll defiantly be back when hankering for some battered goodness!
Decent fish and chips / burger / souvlaki joint on Smith St. The staff are very friendly and always up for a chat when not too busy. The thing that takes the cake is Beer on Tap! Now where would you find nice hot tasty fish fillet and calamari crumbs with cold beer (pub rates).
The bread and butter chup shop of Smith St, with nice 'special deal' nights.
You can even grab an ale with your meal, I can't think of any other chup shop that sports alcohol...
I was glad to find no burnt, abnormal off cuts, that you normally encounter with low grade suburban joints.
Wasn't sure on the type of fish used, but it was noticeably fresh, understandably as they also sell market seafood.
A cool and modern new Fish and Chip shop on the block. Not the cheapest prices, nor the most expensive. Potato cakes, dim sims, fish and chips are all tasty. Only down fall was the potato cake being s little too oily. Otherwise very cool place to grab some takeaway from.

We were on our way to our fav Collingwood hangout and spotted this gem on the way, so we changed corse for fish and chips!!! Coopers Pale Ale on tap in a clean cut set-up. Flavoured with Greek music in the background, we ordered a good old seafood basket for 2 and added a piece of crumbed fish. Fresh chips, clean oil, battered sav is actually a real saveloy, not a Frankfurt and clean! Crumbed fish did taste farmed, but not stale. Service is a bit hey-hey, (cutlery handfulled onto the table), but they are a fish and chip shop. Staff are friendly and happy to laugh. Not a lot of eat-in space. Right next to a tram stop. If you're a local, take advantage of takeaway!
This place is awesome. The combination of really nice people and good food worked perfect for me! The quality of the food is very consistent and the prices are low. Monday, tuesday and thursday they have excellent deals as well. A nice cold beer is included in the thursdaydeal. The portions are more than enough for one person. All this and the friendly customerservices made me somewhat addicted to this place.
fast and simple foods, made with fresh ingredients and the cook is a good bloke, I ordered wrong packs and he just gave me the benefit of the doubt and changed it.
Once again ! Never disappoints! The flavours and the service is to die for. The freshest ingredients cooked to perfection, I go once a week and every time feels like a new discovery into food. Try the garlic prawns and the salmon grilled. This small take away restaurant is a must for everyone.
