This place is amazing! there is always a line during the lunch peak period and that says it all. people constantly come back and purchase food. Good food for a good price, you can't beat it. I go here at least once a week.
cannot go wrong if you love a good pork roll!!!
Best bread roll!!! Melts in your mouth!
Exceptional flavour and generosity in fillings in the classic pork roll. Quite pricey compared to other Vietnamese rolls stores especially those in Cabramatta ($5.50 for one roll vs $10 for four). Would definitely buy from here again though.

Love this place, great bread rolls - and the satay chicken is a unique addition. Tender well season chicken on crispy rolls!
I’m so-so about the rice paper rolls though - it’s missing something - filling maybe or more seasoned beef / chicken.
I had the OG Pork Roll. The meat isn’t questionable typical of the other banh mi from other places. I requested little chilli but it was still too much for me particularly at the end of the sandwich. I couldn’t finish it and I was still hungry.
I mean $6.50 for a fresh, hearty and tasty roll, how could you go wrong. I had the Xcel Chicken roll. It was so satisfying and I didn’t feel heavy after. The ingredients are fresh and they use a generous amount. I would definitely go back and wait in that line!
Tiny hole-in-the-wall shop selling rice paper rolls and banh mi. The prawn roll and sweet chilli sauce was a light and fresh pre-lunch snack.
I've only had the crispy fish roll here on brown bread, it's so amazing that I just can't try anything else. It's cheap n cheerful and just damn good. Chicken spring rolls are awesome too!
Our favourite local place for a roll! Ladies that work there are always friendly and never really mess up our orders despite how complicated they may be. Fillings & sauces are always generous, especially on the Chicken Satay roll (personal fave, comes with peanut sauce!). Love the wide range of options on the menu, including fish roll, tuna roll, salad roll, etc. as well as classics like the pork and chicken rolls. They have a few different types of bread to offer, like white, brown and wholemeal and they can be soft or crispy which is nice. NOTE, ORDER AFTER 11AM FOR FRESH CRISPY BREAD!! we have learnt the hard way that crispy breads before then are most likely from the day before and might be a bit stale. overall love this place and will continue to purchase from here! :)
Love this place. The rice paper rolls and spring rolls are great - tasty and large. I also love the vegetarian roll which is fresh and filling. Some of the best value quick eats and coogee.
A Hong Ha subsidiary, in a nice beach location and without the line. Not quite as good as the OG, but trade that off against the lines of the Mascot location. Great chicken roll's (bahn mi) like their parent store. A crisp baguette filled with warm chicken, fresh salad, house made mayo and completed with their seasoning for a great price. The order is followed with the customary line 'you want chilli'. Not quite Hong ha but a decent alternative.
It's great to see Banh Mi available in Coogee. Xcel Roll brings some much needed diversity for brunch options to the area. Already looking forward to the next visit!
