Best food in Cooktown, best prices. Fish is always fresh and local, burgers are fantastic. Service is 10/10 and the food is perhaps a 11/10. Don't drive past it.

What a gem! We’ve crossed Cooktown twice and ended up eating here three times. The owner is a trained chef and uses his talent to cook basic meals to absolute perfection. The Bacon&Egg roll was simple and delicious, an amazing bang for the buck. The cheeseburger was juicy, well seized and comes with amazing sauces. The lamb kebab was huge, full of flavors and superb lamb. But the absolute highlight was the Fishnchips. Local catched fish cooked to perfection, one of the best fries I’ve ever tried and a homemade Tatar sauce to die for.

In 1870, an English explorer landed (in what was to be know as Cooktown) and discovered Australia as we know it; he marvelled at the beauty and untold treasures to be found.
In 2018, an English explorer landed in Cooktown and discovered "The Works" burger, similarly, he too marvelled at the beauty of this discovery and his life was forever changed.
