Review Baskk Italian - Coolangatta

We had dinner here tonight, one of the best Italian Restaurant meals we have eaten. Great music performed live. Magic cocktails. Booked in again.

Great spot for a meal with friends and family. The food is delicious and good portion sizes. The staff are great. (even though they were understaffed the night we were there) Set in a nicely decorated space that make you feel like you are home. The drinks are good, wine list is limited but you will find something to go with that amazing pasta dish you just ordered! Update : Was good enough to go back again - still a great experience staff where even better (this time they were expecting more diners for Cooly Rocks but the "not so nice" winter weather seems to keep people away). The appetizer platter is an excellent way to start your dining experience.

I just had the WORST PIZZA I have EVER had in my life! The box would have been juicier. The Hawaiian pizza had 4 pieces of pineapple on the whole pizza!! The meat lovers had barely any meat!! And the sauce squirted all over it was over bearing !! And the insult of charging $52 for the two ‘medium’ pizzas They were dry, tasteless & terrible!! I had to bite and pull with my teeth to bite them.. The dog rejected what we didn’t eat!!! PS I have NEVER written a bad review in my life either!!! My husband went to the effort to see if they could compensate or even provide a small pasta in Leiu but they dismissed him TERRIBLE PIZZAS.. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

Staff accommodated us with two additional guests on a busy night for which we are thankful. However, the food bad, mediocre at best. Chicken tough, pasta dish lacked flavour and looked like a swamp, some items ordered weren't included. Salmon portion tiny. All in all a very disappointing meal considering the restaurant came highly recommended.

I was recently in Coolangatta and went to Baskk as the excellent decor caught my attention and was met by Caz who welcomed me with a huge smile and showed me to my table. The place was busy and staff very good. Being an former barman I asked if I could make my own cocktail that was not on the menu. This request was met without any issue. The menu provided a varied selection and a received my meal rather quickly. The quality of the meal was excellent. Thank you Bryce, Caz and Team Baskk for a lovely evening. Caz from Baskk was so amazing and supportive of the planning and organisation of our wedding reception! I loved her professional and easy going nature. The staff on the night were fantastic, considering our booking was slightly unique with many guests standing, they managed amazingly! All of our guests said the food, drinks and cocktails were delicious! The interior of the restaurant is so beautiful and makes for gorgeous photos too. Caz, thank you so much for making the night and experience for us and our guests so special! It's a night Trent and I will cherish forever 🙏🌙❤

Second time visiting Baskk and won't be our last. Great atmosphere, and a strong attentive team who work well together and take the time to make connections with their customers, despite a loud and obnoxious group of women who were being very rude to staff - I think we were all relieved when they finally left! Food was yum, fantastic again (we had the steak, daughter the pizza which she loved and the base was just right). Cocktails made for a fun night, we went with the element of surprise and allowed the bar staff to make us our drinks, which did not disappoint. Thanks team, can't wait to be back again!

Best Italian food I've had nearly ever. (Definitely the best in Coolangatta). Amazing tastes and prices are reasonable, especially for such amazing food.

We loved our Baskk experience so much we came back again 2 nights later and brought my parents. The staff were friendly and professional. The cocktails were pretty fabulous and there was a great wine selection. Every dish was really tasty. We’re from Sydney and eat out quite a bit but this meal was the best we’d had for a long time.

Wow I cannot say enough good things about Bassk. I've been here a few times for drinks as the staff have always been wonderful but tonight was just a top experience that we will never forget. The ribs, roast and churros were amazing! All the staff were amazing, especially the bartender, Jason, who went out of his way to make our night. Thanks for putting on a special performance with balloons for my nephew and the complimentary drink for my birthday. Great food, great staff, great restaurant!

Seated immediately drink orders taken. Cocktails the very best! As Pieta and Tony had visited previously and recommended Baskk we ordered same dishes. Delicious. We didnt have a long wait. Desserts to die for. Friendly helpful staff. Will certainly visit again.

Just Love coming home to my hometown and catching up with friends....Baskk is exceptional the decor the staff better than anywhere in Sydney I've been too lately! Then to top it off the sweet potato fries and pizzas were Amazing! A big hand to Steve Donna and Fam you've really created a top class dining experience something the Southern end of the GC has really been needing ��

Had dinner here this evening. Dont usually leave a comment or rate venues but we were really pleased with baskk. Food was delicious and fresh, staff were super friendly and helpful. Cocktails were delicious. Would reccomend to everyone to try there food and drinks.

The seafood platter for lunch is amazing!!! Excellent food, lovely staff. Will definitely going back!!!!

Have been here many times and have loved it. The fit out is gorgeous and cocktails are amazing. Was excited for our Valentine’s Day dinner but had to wait 45min between first and second course so we’re starving, I think they forgot about us. Food is great, but the service could be better. We will be back again as we do like the place, hopefully it was a one off �

We had dinner last night . What a great trendy place a real gem. We were there on roast dinner night and enjoyed it sooo much . Only complaint my husbands roast chicken was a very small serving . We shared the cream burlee espresso martini extremely yummy 😋

The best Pizza in town , and the beautiful fresh Baked Cookie and Ice Cream , was OMGoodness , there’s no words to describe! Great great service! Coolangatta Kirra locals are lucky to have Baskk

Had dinner on Saturday night with my partner, the food was amazing, great service and wonderful atmosphere.... the coding to the toilet door sucked lol.... cant wait to come back ...

The food was excellent and a good variety of choices . There were a lot of kids there, including our two but not kid friendly options on the menu . The service was good early but we had to ask for more drinks and our table wasn’t cleared until the end . Location is great though .

The music way too loud. Two of us had nearly finished our main meal before the third meal was delivered. Under done so had to be sent back. Another 15 minutes before it came with our side dishes.The meat dishes were full of fat. Definitely not going back.

Sensational dining experience last night, thank you! Delicious food, great wine list but the highlight of the night was most definitely the exceptional service we received from Ashlyn. Our group of 5 all commented on her bubbly personality & fun nature, she is an absolute asset to your business. Only downside was the pizza that came out to one of our group after the rest of us had all finished our mains, as part of the “progressive” dining offering (which was explained to us when we were seated). Apparently it was well worth waiting for though, and lucky he is more patient than me!

Baskk has a great atmosphere and the staff are attentive. It would be better if our four meals arrived at the same time, and it’s the second time this has happened. The blackened chicken was not as crunchy and a little under done from previous one I’d ordered. Everyone around us were ordering pizza so I think, next time, we will do same. We WILL go back!
