Review Tata Gina's - Coolangatta

Don't go. They gave me battered instead of crumbed fish I requested. Heavily battered and overcooked calamari. Not even a full lemon wedge for 2 pieces of cod. Chips were good. Well salted & crispy. Cod pieces, while not thick, were at least long. Still, whole meal was channelling a Canadian rural ice rink canteen vibe for quality and not one block away from world class beach lunch goodness.

I am a local and this shop was Great once, but Not now. The fish was factory made so was the Potato Scallops and Thin more Batter than potato. This is what happens when new owners take over a great shop.

We ordered 2 pieces of crumbed flake and 4 pieces of whiting and chips, the chips were fine but the fish if it was flake was a thin tough frozen piece crumbed, no way it was fresh thick white soft flake as it should be We will never go there again

Fish was just commercial crumbed frozen, still a bit pricey for that and not so great taste compared to buying fresh

Best place to visit if you want to have really good fish and chips meals. Variety of food available at one spot!! Burgers, Fish and Chips, Salads!! Everything, so delicious and lovely staff.

Cancelled our order through door dash because they didn't have the items we ordered although they accepted the order. Wasn't until the driver got there that they were advised. Never again. So disappointing.. just as well there are so many other and better stores on the coast to order from.

Walk past the others and you soon find out why few fishos can compete with this local homey jewel. Welcoming staff always ready to share a smile and the love in the preparation really shows. Great selection of condiments, sweets and drinks too.

One of the best "bang for your buck" meals I have had in Australia so far! There is a good selection of grilled and fried fish, and the salads and chips that came with it were tasty and in very generous quantities. Highly recommend!

This place is has amazing food and service. . . On the way to the air port we spent the day at danger point with a tray of steak potato and kumara chips. . . The guy at the store recommended the potato chip over the kumara but as kumara is my partners favourite we had to have both. The potato was great but as for the kumara my partner and I both agree was the best chip, potato or kumara, we had both ever had! Keeping in mind I HATE kumara fried. They were crisp outside, light fluffy inside, flavourful, non-oily, dry or sickening, and fantastic value $4 for a small tray would have been enough for us both. The chips come in a tray in a paper bag which keeped them nice without going soft and limp before we got to them. Our only regret was that we didn't find this place earlier. Next time we are in the coast this will be our first stop to try more of of what is an extensive delicious menu.

Old school service and charm matched with fresh, tasty and amazing food. Very well priced. Highly recommend.

This was a find and grilled wild caught Barramundi and salad was perfect. The service was good and portions huge. I went back as the gentleman suggested that I may enjoy Snapper grilled. Just so fresh and perfectly cooked. When back in Coolangatta we will be back. Thank you 😊

This place is all about quality!! I don't cook at home and when you eat out 7 days a week you know where the best food is and Tata Ginas is somewhere your never disappointed!! One of coolangatta's best

Their Fush and Chups are mean as bro. chur.. Had the local crumbed fish Combo was very very nice, decent amount of food for the price also felt very welcomed and was also helped with making our choice. Thank's guys, will visit for sure next time we are over :) 🇳🇿

Rip off people thought u get real fish and its just processed frozen home brand crap cost me 30 dollars to feed kids and the crap just went in the bin so guys dont even bother goin there u may as well throw yor money in the bin thanks 4 nothing guyz
